I woke up and the first thing that came to my mind was relief, relief that Braylee's revelation was only a dream... but the moment I sat up and found myself lying on the mattress clad floor next to Riley, Lucho, and Warren—that's when reality dawned on me. That our Braylee is sick and I could lose another sister again.
"B-bray..." My heart felt so heavy when she was nowhere to be found. My eyes were swollen from crying so much all night that I felt so light-headed, still it didn't prevent me from looking for Braylee.
I searched for her all over the house but I couldn't find her so I went back in my room and found my phone.
I saw a bunch of missed calls and messages from Apollo and there was even one message from Cohen and my Dad but instead of checking them one by one, I hurriedly sent Braylee a message while trying to keep my cool.
