We stood and smiled happily as we pulled each other closer; Lucho was in the middle of Braylee and I, while Riley and Warren are on our sides. Behind us was a view of the ferris wheel and different amusement rides surrounding us.
We were all wearing goofy hats and novelty glasses, Braylee even had a stuffed monkey clinging on her neck. There were so many people around us but it felt as if we had our own world as five.
"Kuya matagal pa ba?" Riley asked the photographer awkwardly without even letting go of his big smile.
The photographer pulled his face away from the camera and looked at us questioningly. "Ba't kayo nagsisiksikan, may space pa naman?"
"Compress!!!" Lucho yelled and so we did. Nagsiksikan kami lalo at mas hinigpitan pa ang akbay sa isa't-isa.
Natawa nalang ako nang mapakamot sa ulo ang photographer. "Okay sige, say--
"Say Juday!" Sigaw ni Riley.
"Juday!" Sigawan kami, except kay Lucho na reklamo ang isinigaw.
Tawang-tawa kaming lahat nang makita ang picture, we were all captured laughing except for lucho who was clearly frowning and yelling. It was the perfect photo, but these days, one photo isnt enough kaya kung ano-ano pa ang mga pinaggagawa naming poses.
"Sayang hindi ko madadala ang picture natin sa pag-alis ko. Ba't kasi mamayang gabi pa made-develop ni manong ang mga yun." Reklamo ni Lucho habang naglalakad-lakad kami at naghahanap ng susubukang rides.
"Lu, Manong is really busy with his job. Look at it this way, at least you have something to look forward to, when you return." Braylee consoled Lucho as she hugged him by the waist and leaned her chin on his shoulder lovingly.
"Just like how Denver has Braylee when he returns." Riley chuckled making us all stop at our tracks.
We all looked at Riley and glared at him. And he looked at us defensively. "What? Walang masama sa sinabi ko this time! Diba baby B?"
Our eyes shifted towards Braylee. I couldn't help but feel bad when I saw the pain in her teary eyes and the smile in her face that has become forced.
"W-wala..." Braylee shook her head and tried to be our usual cheerful Braylee but her tears were giving it away.
By this point, Denver's name has become a bad word. Bringing him up will just cause her pain.
"I saw a cotton candy stall kanina. Wanna try it Bray?" I asked just so I could distract her.
Braylee nodded as she hugged me by the waist. Poor girl.
