Charlotte stood infront of her mirror staring at herself. It was early in the morning and she hadn't slept much. She wasn't ready to go to school. With rumors spreading around about her and Sadie blackmailing her and Pearce she knew that her day would be tense.
She squinted at herself in the mirror. After spending her Sunday tearing apart her room and pulling her hair out over Sadie, she was beginning to realize that Sadie wasn't worth it. Sadie barely knew her and barely cared about her even though she called herself Charlotte's friend. Best Friend.
Charlotte lifted her head. Her red hair slipped gracefully off her shoulders and fell down her back. Sadie loved her for her red hair. She wanted to be a blonde. Not because she thought they were prettier but because she loved the color. Maybe it was time she did what she wanted to. She smirked then she grabbed her purse and walked out her bedroom door.

Sadie walked out the classroom listening to Mason argue with her about what was going on between her and Fisher.
"You're always with him," he shook his head. "It's like you're the ones dating-"
"No one ever cared before," Sadie rolled her eyes walking down the hallway. "Why do you care now-"
He rushed in front of her and grabbed her arms. "Because people are beginning to notice."
Sadie frowned then she sighed. "And I don't care."
Mason's jaw dropped slightly. He squinted his eyes. "What do you mean you don't care? Our whole relationship was based on you thinking that I would get you attention. You used me and you suddenly don't care?"
Sadie scoffed. "Boohoo! You were the one who allowed me to use you. You were fine with it because you wanted to date me-"
"Oh, I didn't care about dating you. Dating is about getting to know a person because you see them in your future. I don't see you in mine."
Sadie rolled her eyes. They landed on someone walking up the hallway. A blonde. A short haired blonde. Sadie blinked twice, stepping aside from Mason. Her jaw dropped.
Mason, baffled, turned around to see what Sadie was shocked about. His furrowed brows lifted. "Is that...Charlotte?"
Charlotte held her head high and placed her hands in her pockets as she approached them. "Hey Mason," she smiled at him ignoring Sadie.
Sadie stood silent, unsure of what to say.
Mason stared at her. "Your hair-"
"Do you like it?" Charlotte touched her short hair. "It's a pixie cut."
"It's awesome," Mason smiled at her still completely shocked.
Sadie glared at Charlotte. "School's almost over. Why'd you come? To show off your hair and make a statement?"
Mason groaned and looked at the ceiling.
Charlotte nodded and turned to Sadie. "Actually, yes. That's exactly why I came." She stepped closer to Sadie. "Because I wanted you to see it and know that I don't care what you think of me anymore. And that you can go right ahead and tell all your followers how much of a horrible friend I was. I know who I am and you will never define me. Okay?" She touched Sadie's nose then she walked away with a smirk.
Sadie stood shocked. She began to breathe again, looking at the students who were staring. She squealed then she kicked a locker. Tears filled her eyes all over again. She was going to lose everything. Without Charlotte and with a entire YouTube channel dedicated to shaming her it was a guarantee.

Poppy sat with Fisher on the football field. She was listening to him go on about the Wonder Woman comic he held in his hand. She tucked her hand under her chin and stared at him with a smirk. His words were going over her head. She was deep in admiration. She watched him flip through the pages of the book and point at pictures. His mouth moved but she heard nothing he said.
She quickly grabbed his hand.
Fisher flinched, holding his breath.
"I...," Poppy smiled. "I love you."
Fisher gulped.
"Hey guys," Charlotte walked unto the field.
They both looked up at her. Their eyes grew.
"Charlotte?" Poppy giggled quickly standing to her feet. "Wow...your hair."
"I got it cut this morning," Charlotte nodded. "I'm done letting people judge me."
Fisher furrowed his brows and turned away. He had loved her red hair. She looked different without it. And in that moment of seeing that change he realized that that was the only reason why he was in love with her. The way she looked. She treated him horribly before and her personality didn't attract him at all. His love was blind.
"Fisher," she looked down at him.
He looked up at her.
"Do you like it?"
He shrugged. "I preferred your natural color and length."
Charlotte nodded. "And that is why your opinion doesn't matter."
Fisher raised his brows and turned away. "Okay?"
"Have you guys seen Liam? I have to talk to him."
Poppy nodded. "He should be in the library. He's studying."
"I hope I don't take his mind off of that."
"Because of the hair cut?"
"No," Charlotte blushed. "I'll see you guys later." She walked away.
Poppy sat back down beside Fisher. "She looks so different."
"Yeah," Fisher nodded. "Hey, my little sister wants her room painted but we can't really afford a painter right now. So...do you think maybe...you can do-"
"Of course," Poppy grinned. "I would love to."
Fisher smiled. "Thank you."
Poppy shrugged. "Anything for you."
Fisher felt his skin go cold. The way she looked at him made him hate himself. She loved him just enough for the both of them...But what if her love was just as blind as his was for Charlotte?

Charlotte walked into the library with her heart in her throat. Her eyes ran around the room aggressively from the anxiety she felt. They landed on Liam. He sat with his books scattered and opened across the table. His hands were in his head and he seemed irritated.
Charlotte took a deep breath then she walked over to him and sat down in front of him. He looked up at her then looked back down at his book, ignoring her and not recognizing her. She giggled. "Liam."
He looked at her again with furrowed brows then he squinted his eyes. They grew. "Charlotte?"
"Hi," she grinned. But his baffled expression made her smile subside. Embarrassed she frowned. "You don't like it?"
Liam didn't know what to say. He was shocked. "I saw you Saturday night. Your hair was..."
"I cut and dyed it this morning..."
"Why?"
"Because I stopped caring what people thought of me. Sadie specifically. I do care what you think...And you don't like it-"
"Really, Charlotte?" Liam tilted his head and smiled at her. "You know I don't care what you look like. You're awesome regardless."
Charlotte blushed. Tears filled her eyes. "I...I have to tell you something."
"Is it more shocking than your transformation?"
She giggled then she looked down. She wiped her cheek then she looked at Liam. "Liam, I love you," she shrugged and giggled.
Liam froze. "Oh."
