Marshlands Part 1

It had been a few days before Fay resided in Master Jim's basement. She stayed there until she was needed on any adventure's concerning the Trollhunter. Therefore, leaving Draal at the house and going to the swamps of Quagawumps with the team. Fay watched as Aaarrrgghh gave the Gyre a start the others hopped on board. She started to turn away and head back towards Jim's house but Aaarrrgghh's hum made her freeze in her tracks. Fay smiled and hesitantly joined the group once again on another trip.

" If Wumpas don't let outsiders into their camp, how do we get the stone?" Jim questioned as he watched Blinky start up the machine.

" Don't worry, Master Jim! I already have a plan! It's rudimentary." Blinky explained as Fay helped Toby up the steps, " If Quagawumps are hostile to outsiders, we'll need an insider! One of you is going to pretend to be the human reincarnation of the Shattered King! It's genius!"

"What? That's insane!" Jim exclaimed as Blinky pushed the lever.

Everyone, except for Blinky, were pulled back by the speed. Fay clung to the wall and Claire as Toby literally clung to Master Jim and Aaarrrgghh. Fay could hear Blinky trying to say something but the speed was so fast that she couldn't comprehend exactly what he was talking about. Suddenly everyone jolted forward as the Gyre stopped. Toby yelped as he fell out of his seat onto the floor of the Gyre.

" Well, we better get a move on." Blinky said as he placed the lever in park. Aaarrrgghh groaned as his head began to hurt.

Fay got up and followed Blinky off the Gyre and onto the green ground. Slowly the company followed them trough the marshes. Birds were squawking in the distance as the company continued their trek through the marsh.

" This place is creepy. Where are we?" Claire questioned as she looked around at the enviroment

" A place known for its vast swamps, theme parks and retirement communities. Florida!" Blinky answered her question

Fay walked beside Toby so he wouldn't be alone in the back. She occasionally looked back every now and then just to make sure no one was trailing them. But she couldn't help the fact that someone was following them.

" Come on, Your Eminence. Your people await." Claire teased Toby as Fay watched him walk by some tall grass

" I'm just saying--" Toby tried to say as he jumped to a rock, " I'm built to be a sidekick, you know? I'm not--leading man material. I'm a wingman.

" Don't be a wuss.." Jim chuckled as Fay hopped pass them both and walked behind Blinky, " Come on, even Fay passed you."

"Hmm?" Aaarrrgghh sniffed the air before growling and thumping the ground with his fists. Fay even got into a defense stance as Blinky stood there in fear.

Green wumpas stepped out of the bushes and began to chant aloud with spear in hand. They surrounded the group with their spears as Claire clung onto Blinky in fear.

" Mmm! Humans!" One stated to the others, " A taste not common."

" Taste?" Fay repeated the word as she backed up into Aaarrrgghh

" Toby?" Claire said as she pulled him out into the open of the green trolls

" Okay." Toby said as he was literally pulled out into the open and all the Wumpas gasped, " It is I, the Showered King!"

" Shattered King." Blinky whispered to him

" The Shattered King!" Toby corrected himself in front of the Wumpas, " Reincarnated as a human.

Fay watched as Toby tried to sway the Wumpas and howl at them with his waving arms. Fay quietly watched the group's multiple expressions as Toby continued to howl.

" You're not a ghost." Jim whispered to Toby to stop his howling

One of the Wumpas stepped forward, growling and examining Toby. The others began to chant as the Wumpa investigated Toby.

" Gunmar kill you, You cannot be. Prove you are he. Show us great magics, god king." The Wumpa spoke to Toby as Fay and the others cringed at the thought of being caught

" Okay. All right, now. Stand back." Toby said hesitantly as the chanting ceased, " This one's not for the faint of heart. " Abre-cadabra, nothing up my sleeve-ara!"

Fay squealed in excitement as Claire huffs out of annoyance. Everyone else gasps as Toby continually does his trick.

" He dis memembered his hand and then rejoined his flesh and bone!" One of the Wumpas pointed out in amazement.

" His magic is so powerful!" The main Wumpa exclaimed before chanting with the others and carrying Toby to their camp.

" Nice work, Tobes! You are leading man material!" Jim called out to Toby as he was carried away by all the Wumpas

Fay and the others silently followed the Wumpas to their camp and watched in amazement, as the Wumpas chanted.

" The Lost King, Returned!" The Main Wumpa announced as all surround Wumpas began to chant

Fay noticed that one of the Wumpas had stopped chanting. She silently waved at the Wumpa before returning to the group.

" I don't believe it." Jim said as he stared up at a troll statue that looked like Toby

" Niether do I." Claire responded as she stared at the statue

" Ugh, I know right? HE doesn't even look anything like me." Toby said as he turned around to join the conversation

The wumpas then dropped him so they could get a better look at him.

" Mouth filled with precious metals!" One Wumpa said as they looked inside Toby's mouth

THe Wumpas turned him around in every possible way to examine his features.

" So handsome the king is!" another Wumpa laughed as she pinched Toby's cheeks

" Thats what I keep telling the girls at my school, but they weren't interested." Toby said as he was immediately dropped to the ground

" Who are these girls at shool?" A wumps asked as they started to surround him, " We shall hunt them down, and make flutes out of their arms!" A Wumpa yelled as they raised their spear
