School

Fay woke up loud snoring as she struggled to untangle herself from the blanket. She squinted at the large troll that laid before her. In confusion to why Draal had grown to a large size, Fay climbed over the hills of the soft blanket and onto the cold floor. That's when she felt something tap her shoulder. She looked over only to smile in happiness. The glug that the Wumpa gave her work! She rejoiced and climbed onto Draal's face with giggles that escaped her.

" Draal, Draal, Draal! Guess what? Guess what? Guess what?" Fay pounced on his face to wake him up

" What?" Draal slowly woke up to see her dancing on his face

" The glug that the Wumpa gave me, It worked! I am normal again!" Fay cheered in happiness as Draal widened his eyes at what he just heard.

" Glug?" Draal questioned as he carefully brought his hand to her.

"Yea, Glug. I'm going to tell Master Jim. See you later." Fay gave him a goodbye kiss before fluttering up stairs to find Master Jim making food. She quickly noticed that Toby was at the table looking inside an empty picture frame.

" I looked every where for it but I can't find it!" Toby complained as Fay landed on the table

" Looked for what?" Fay questioned as she sat down on the table

" Hey, the effects wore off. Uh, he was talking about how he lost his great grandmothers butterfly display that he was going to use for his science project.. "

" Ugh, If I could just find another butterfly to fit in this case.." Toby sighed as Jim brought him a plate with an omelet.

" Here you go, Fay." Jim said as he placed a napkin in front of her and gave her some of his omelet.

Fay hopped onto the white cloth and began to nibble away at Master Jim's handiwork. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Toby glancing back between her and the display case. Toby suddenly gasped as he brought the display case to Fay.

" Tobes, no! Let her eat first!" Jim took the display case away from his friend and laid it on the other side of the table.

" I'm just saying, it could work. Plus she'll be in the front of the classroom, no one will come up and touch her." Toby tried to convince Jim as Fay nibbled on the fried egg.

" Hey Fay?" Jim asked as he lightly tapped his fork on his plate

" Hmm?" Fay hummed as she heard the basement door creak open

"How would you feel if we took you to our school today?"

" Sure I-" Fay was just about to agree but someone interrupted her

" Absolutely not! You may have convinced the Trollhunter but Fay, will be staying here with me." Draal stated as he gently pick Fay up and held her closely

" She's coming right back, it's only for a day." Jim spoke as Fay finished nibbling on the egg

" Don't worry, I promise that I'll come back." Fay spoke as she crawled out of his hand and fluttered to Master Jim's shoulder

" Jimbo, if we don't leave now we might not make it!" Toby panicked as he stuffed his face with the omelet.

" See you later Draal!" Fay waved at Draal as Jim carried her off to his school. She watched as the house became farther and farther away.

'Le tiem Skippe~

" Alright Fay, you ready to be a star?" Toby questioned her as he opened the case

" Yea!" Fay squealed with excitement as she unfolded her wigs and slipped into the display case.

" Alright, let's do this!" Toby told himself as he gently placed the display case into his bag and began walking his science class.

Fay suddenly heard all the kids in his class laugh as something might've just happen. She was just about to shift a little when her hands started to glow a faint gold. Before she could realize what was happening, she was out in the open as Toby talked to the class about what he brought.

" Did some one step on your butterfly? Is that why it's all squashed together?" A kid pointed out at the display

" Hey! Don't talk to her like that!" Toby accidentally blurted out as the teacher crossed his arms and asked for the display case.

" Hmm, very interesting. This butterfly seems to have an extra pair of wings that are outlined in a gold tint." Fay became very still as the teacher examined her wings.

" When my great grandmother was young, she said that she found this beauty back in Eastern Europe?" Toby tried to create a cover up as The teacher squinted closely at her wings

" She would have to, because I have never seen such a rare sight of this one that you have right here. Toby Domzalski, congratulations, you have passed this class with a 93." The teacher spoke as he gave the display back and patted him on the back.

" Thank you" Toby thanked as he returned to his seat. He looked down to see Fay slightly relax and smile back up at him.

It was some while before a loud bell rang and every student began to walk out of class. Without even thinking to put Fay back in his bag, Toby walked out of the classroom in joy of his final grade, tossing the display case up in the air.

All of a sudden the case didn't come back down. Toby turned around to find Steve holding the display case. Fay tried to break out of the case as Steve threw it roughly into a trash canister. The glass broke, cutting the fragile skin of Fay, causing her to yelp in pain.

" Let's teach this weirdo a lesson!" Steve announced as he gripped Toby's sweater and lifted him up

" NO! FAY!" Toby cried as a janitor walked by to collect the trash. As they listened to music, they didn't even search through to find a bleeding fairy.

Toby tried to break free but he was soon thrown backwards as he watched the lady close the sack and take it out. Jim was about to turn the corner when he heard the cries of Toby screaming Fay's name. He rushed out and socked Steve in the face, causing Steve to let Toby down. Toby immediately fled after the janitor but only to find the garbage dumpster empty. He started to panic as Claire and Jim came by his side.

" Tobes, what happened?" Jim rushed back to question his friend

Steve threw away the display case with Fay still inside! How are we going to explain this to Draal?" Toby spilled the beans as he began to look through the trash that was spilled onto the ground

" We will find her." Claire stated as she helped Toby from the trash that was scattered on the ground

" No one goes home until we find her." Jim stated as everyone split up in different directions, "She couldn't have gone far."
