Fay silently trekked to Master Jim's house in thought. Cars drove by her as she walked on the sidewalk. There were no birds that sung to her as she continued her path. She let out a sigh that she had been holding in for a long time.' If I can summon and change form, then why can't I grant wishes?' Fay asked herself as she took a shortcut through some backyards.
She was almost there when a small dog came yipping at her feet. Fay scurried over the fence and into another backyard. She fell face first into a garden full of fresh soil. Fay moaned out of frustration as she got up from the patch of dirt. She didn't even bother to wipe her face as some clouds formed. Fay finally made it to the back yard of Master Jim and quickly realized that she wasn't the only one outside. There stood Draal going through a box with his free hand and holding a lamp with his other hand. Fay slowly climbed over the fence to avoid making any noise while he was busy.
Fay was almost there until her foot slipped and she came crashing down into the ground once more. She yelped as she felt herself land on something hard. Fay got up to see that she had fell on a gnome and looked back at a Draal who was staring at her in curiosity.
" You came back.." He stated as he gently set the lamp post down and walked over to Fay
" I did. I just need some time to collect myself, y'know?" Fay smiled up at him as he gave a small one back.
" Master Jim's mother is in the house right now, cleaning. I don't want to be found so I'm out here." Draal explained as Fay walked around the junked backyard
" What are you looking for?" Fay asked as she bent over and looked through a box.
" Uh..nothing really..like some sort of weapon or yah." Draal said as he stared at it for a little before looking through some other boxes
" Like this!?" Fay exclaimed as she pulled out a giant, thin blanket.
" Hmmm not really, unless we use it to suffocate a changeling." Draal suggested as he watched Fay dance around the backyard with the blanket tied around her neck
" I am Master Jim! Trollhunter, and Jim the baby handed!" Fay exclaimed as she grabbed a nearby stick and pointed it at Draal
Draal looked back in surprise as he turned around to exhale a small chuckle. Silently he grabbed a similiar stick to Fay's and pretended to play along.
" I am Draal, Son of Kanjigar! I challenge thy Trollhunter to a duel." Draal stated as he held the stick and touched Fay's stick with his.
" I Master Jim, accept the duel." Fay pretended to drop her voice lower as she gently tapped Draal's stick with hers.
It was silent or a moment as Draal playfully moved towards her with his stick as Fay backed up. She almost tripped over her own feet but caught herself and playfully tapped Draal's metal arm. Draal swung his stick gently as he felt her stick tap him. He quickly moved to where she tapped him and swung his stick lower at her feet.
Fay tripped in slow motion as she began to fall towards the ground. She grasped onto Draal's horn's and made him fall with her. They both landed on the ground as it began to become dark. Draal caught himself from falling on top of her as she laid there underneath him. Fay giggled as Draal froze there with wide eyes. This was his chance to do something, to make it happen. He was just about to close in when Fay pushed him to the side of her.
Draal laid there in confusion as Fay giggled and laughed at his shocked face. Draal looked over at her before looking up at the sky. He was so close to what Master Jim explained to him. Smashing his face on to her sweetly looking lips.
" That was fun." Fay stated as she sprawled out onto the ground.
" What?" Draal questioned as he looked at her
" What we did just now. I had fun playing with you." Fay smiled at him and raised her hand into the sky
" Oh." he murmured as he watched her hand become a shadow in the night sky. The more he stared at it the more he saw a flickering light emit from her hand.
" I had some trouble today." Fay stated as she lowered her hand and continued looking at the sky
" What kind of trouble?" Draal asked as he glanced at her worriedly
" Well a Wumpa came up to me for their wish to be granted. The problem is, I don't know how to grant wishes." Fay said as her tone became melancholy
Draal laid there in the moment as he tried to think of a way for her to overcome this. Instead of answering her he gently took her hand and squeezed it.
" You are you. just because anyone says that you can do something over and beyond, does not change who you are." Draal quietly told her as he stared up at the constellations.
It was awhile before anyone said anything. Draal became nervous as he held her hand. Soon enough a squeezed was returned as Fay adjusted her fingers into his hand.
" Thank you, Draal." Fay calmly said as she scooted closer to him and slowly fell into a slumber
" You're welcome." He quietly whispered as he gently picked her up and carried her inside. Wrapping her inside the blanket she had used for the both of them, Draal silently laid next to her as she slept.
