The Gap Period:

The Gap Period is the point in time where the conversations between me and Sierra progressed beyond the start of the new year. The relationship of Danny and Sierra grew very bitter. Their intimate life together was nonexistent and speaking to one another was limited. Their fights in private turned into low blows to each other and rants of Sierra bringing up past things to make Danny feel like he was at fault for everything. What resulted next was Danny's biggest mistake to the relationship. He feels guilty to this day that he cheated on Sierra. He got drunk one night and slept with two different people. She found out because he drunk dialed her while in the act. She recognized a name being called out over the phone as one of Danny's friends. This event rattled her to the point of the next set of events.
The next season of bowling was beginning as Danny and Sierra began to celebrate their one year anniversary. Again debated on returning to bowling because Ms.Bonnie would just place me back on a team with Danny and Sierra. I eventually decided to show up for sign-ups. With a recently large amount of players aging out of our youth league, the teams dropped to four players. Sierra ended up bringing Mickie into our team for the year. All I thought to myself is that there will be another person that would come into the fights. Actually, me and Mickie stayed out of their fights pretty well. This year of bowling saw very little tension between Sierra and Danny. It was not like things were going great for them, they both quietly resented each other in public. They did try to spite each other by trying their hardest to friend me and Mickie to take their side, but I was still distant towards them and Mickie just tuned out of everything. We ended up finishing fifth in the league out of eight teams. Still under a winning record, but the best record season I had with Sierra on my team.
I was in a dark time in my life during the Gap Period. I was depressed and alone. At this time, I was in a weird friendship with a coworker. We really hit it off as friends and spent a lot of time talking and hanging out. I understand why my other coworkers thought we were going out, but even I was beginning to realize that our friendship was going a little too far. I enjoyed having someone to open up with. She kept reaching out for me when she had relationship problems. I tried to avoid getting involved in their drama. It was so similar to the situation with Danny and Sierra, but it was actually healthier. I did not want to have her interfere with my job, so we started to drift apart after she transferred back to her old center for work. I think she quit during this year, but I only spoke to her one more time around mid-2015. I did tell Sierra and Danny about things with my coworker. Danny told me to ask her out anyways, but I refused. Sierra told me how jealous she was that I was talking to her. This was told to me later in the year as Sierra normally mumbled under her breath every time I talked about my coworker.
