Liberation Part III: Bowling Update

Last time I talked about bowling, Sierra's team was struggling and in a weird love triangle. My team of misfits managed to keep in the race for top three most of the season. What would have kept us in a good running for first was if Sierra's team could win games against Zach Richards and Nick Lloyd's teams, but they shit the bed every time. Our plan was to sling shot each other in the standings just so one of us could win first or both of us to place. Sierra abandoned that task for the very idea that my team was better. Since she was losing, Sierra wanted me to lose. My team never quit doing what we did best: goofing off and somehow winning the match. From how the season was going: my team, Ciara's team, and Nick's team had a hold over the top three spots in the standings. This season was not close between all the teams like past seasons. Sierra ended up skipping a few weeks of bowling as a way to avoid seeing her team. Plus Sierra had no money and I was done giving her money just to pay her fees. With March coming up as well, the time to sign up for the annual state tournament. I showed up enough weeks to qualify for the tournament. Sierra never did, but Ms.Bonnie had other plans. She fudged the numbers on Sierra's games so she could participate. I was actually surprised Nick did not pick up on that. He is anal about everything else, but never looked into this. When it came to us signing the paper for what shifts to do, Sierra had other plans. I had a final review for my bio class on day one of the tournament. I was not going to make the am shift and I might have been late to the pm shift. Day three I had my history final and could not make either shift. I only signed on for all day on day two and substitute for day one pm shift. Sierra signed up for every shift possible in the tournament. Ever since her team started losing, Sierra refused to bowl in states. Not only that, but she could not afford it. After the first two weeks of bowling, Sierra had no extra money to pay her dues. Out of kindness, I payed for some of her weeks. I paid about $100 for Sierra to bowl because she was so upset how she could not afford it like she said she could. The sad thing was, Sierra owed over $150 to the league before states dues. I warned Sierra for telling Ms.Bonnie that she could do every shift, but I can never tell her what to do. Some how her debt that needed to be paid off before she could bowl was going to magically vanish. I would not have cared so much if money was not a major problem for Sierra that she was bringing up constantly. It felt like watching someone recover from walking on to a bear trap just to intentionally walk on another one believing it will not brake her leg again. Painful to watch.
