Harley's hot wheels ^

Harley
A week passes by without much happening, just the usual. Hanging out with Drew and Ally, school, living the teenage life.
And now, on this wonderful Saturday that I could've slept in, I am meeting once a again with Cody. This time it is at his house at one o'clock.
Driving my motorcycle I go to the address Cody gave me, hoping it's the right one and didn't prank me.
Glancing back down at my phone I look up again at the building that looms in front of me, it's a mansion. He doesn't live here, does he?
Sliding off my bike I put the helmet away. Studying the driveway I notice a car that looks familiar to Cody's. I guess this really is his house.
After ringing the doorbell I take a step back and wait. It soon opens revealing a short older woman.
Maybe I did make a mistake.
"Hi there dear," the older lady offers me a friendly smile. "I assume you're here for Cody?"
"Uh, yeah." I say hesitantly.
"Of course, right this way." She widens the door, waiting only a moment for me to remove my outside gear before charging to wherever Cody was.
I almost lose her at the speed she's going when I marvel in the interior design. Marble is almost everywhere, floors, tables, stairs. The ceilings are so high that it feels like I'm in a giant's house. Various expensive looking paintings are scattered across the walls, most modern art.
Quickly following the lady I yet to learn the name of, I am nearly out of breath after the first flight of stairs.
I am relieved that after another set we stay on that floor going through winding halls instead.
Abruptly stopping at a white door, like the rest, she knocks.
"Cody?" She questions. "Someone is here to see you." I hear a faint okay followed by heavy footsteps.
Swinging the door open a shirtless Cody Spears greets us.
"Oh, hey Harley." He nods at me. "Thank you Mary." The lady- Mary, nods her head and turns disappearing into the twists and turns of the hallways.
I glance down at his shirtless toned form. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
"No, I just lost track of time." He opens the door motioning me in. "Come in, let me just grab a shirt first."
He slides on a grey tee covering his abs and broad shoulders.
Who doesn't love a guy with a six-pack?
Harley what on earth are you saying?
Shaking my head of the disturbing thoughts I get down to business. Dropping my backpack at the foot of his dark green bed I plop down on the king sized mattress.
"I didn't realize you were so excited to be on my bed!" Cody grins cockily. "You could've just asked."
I scrunch my nose up. "Gross, no."
He laughs and collects his laptop from his desk joining me on the bed.

I jot down a few more words before stifling a yawn. We have been going at it for about two and half hours now.
Royalty and their genetic problems.
"You want to take a break?"
I look up from the notes nodding my head. "Sure, I could use it."
He leads the way down the windy walls.
"Do you ever get lost in here?" I find myself asking.
He lets out a chuckle. "You get used to it. The occasional time I'll take a wrong turn."
"Your house puts corn mazes to shame."
"I know." He grins a full proud smile.
Going back down the two flights of stairs we find ourselves in the kitchen. Which could fit my kitchen and bedroom in it.
What's up with all these rich people?
"You hungry at all?"
"Starving."
Before he can reply a little girl bounces into the room happily.
"Coco!" She runs to Cody giggling.
"Laney!" He picks her up in one big swoop with his arms laughing with her. It's slightly strange seeing Cody like this.
Scratch that it's insanely weird.
Cody can be caring and sweet with his sister? He's nothing like this at school.
I'm pulled from my thoughts when I hear whispering.
"Who's that?" She shyly points in my direction.
"That's my friend Harley." Oh so we're friends now?
"She's so pretty." Laney says with awe in her voice.
"You going to say hi to her?"
Nodding her head she slowly untangles from Cody's hold and makes her way to me.
"Hi." She fiddles with her fingers averting her gaze. Cue the aww.
"Hey there, what's your name?"
"Laney."
"Oh that's a very pretty name for a pretty girl."
"I'm not pretty, you're pretty!" She blurts our before smacking her hands onto her mouth embarrassed.
Smiling I manage to contain my laugh. "Thank you, but you are too!"
Recovering from her embarrassment she looks at me. "Are you Cody's girlfriend?"
"No!" I say as Cody awkwardly coughs behind her.
"Okay Laney, why don't you go play with your dolls?"
Saying bye she cheerfully skips away, presumably to a play room.
Scratching the back of his neck Cody looks at me sheepishly. "Sorry about that."
I wave my hand in a 'it's fine' gesture. "I didn't know you had a little sister."
Moving around the big stone accented island he glances my way, carelessly shrugging his broad shoulders. "Not many people do."
He opens the cupboards and grabs a bunch of chocolate chip cookies placing them on a plate. Setting it on the counter he sits on one of the barstools. I copy his actions sitting across from him.
"So, do you have any siblings?" He asks grabbing a cookie off the tray.
"Nope, I'm an only child." I reply munching on the chocolate-y goodness. "Is Laney your only sibling?"
"Yep," he says. "No offence but I found the only child life boring."
"None taken, I get where you're coming from. It's nice but it's not." I rest my arms on the smooth cool marble countertops crossing them.
We converse some more while eating our snack and only study for about an hour more.
Walking me to the door Cody peers past my shoulder when I open it.
"You have a motorbike?" He asks sounding shocked.
"Yep," I grin. "The bike I'm named after."
I mount the bike and quickly zip up the helmet then kick up the stand. Flipping down the visor I wave to Cody. He stands there staring as I drive off; at least i'd like to say he was staring at me.
