Harley

"Alison Gurtrude Bennett hurry up! At this rate we're never going to get there."

"Come on, I've waited for like five years for this!"

"Do I need to karate chop that door-"

"I'm here, I'm here!" Ally throws her palms out defensively.

Drew scoffs. "Finally."

"Beauty takes time, Drew," she shakes her head that's full of wavey red curls now. "Guys will never understand."

"Harley doesn't take years."

"Not all of us are born with naturally perfect features." She states.

Clapping my hands I usher them out of Drew's house. "Okay guys, chop chop we don't want to be any later than we already are."

Drew jumps into the car rather quickly and I follow suit. We give Ally a pointed look as she delicately crawls into the car, about the same speed as a snail.

"What?" She looks back and forth between us. "If I ruin my curls they're going to look terrible and I'll have to do them again."

Sighing I turn back around facing the windshield. "What's wrong with your hair flat?"

Shrugging she watches the scenery blur by. "Mine looks better with waves."

Soon enough we're pulling into the movie theatre parking lot. Which is rather busy since we decided we'd come on a Sunday. Why do we always plan stuff when it's packed everywhere?

Walking to the doors Drew holds it open for the two of us to pass through. After purchasing our tickets we head to the food area.

"Hey what can I get you?" A guy that looks around twenty tries flirting.

Seriously dude? You had one job.

"Small popcorn and medium drink please."

"Of course, anything else?" He sends a supposed attractive wink but it looks more like a bug flew into it.

"No, thanks." I internally cringe, while my very helpful and supportive best friend giggles behind me.

It doesn't take long before mr. I-think-i'm-cool-but-i'm-not to return with my popcorn and cup.

Tapping some buttons on the computer he looks back up with a creepy smile. "That would be $13.85 and your number." He attempts to be smooth; keyword being 'attempt'. I'm pretty sure I heard Drew muttering stuff behind me but It wasn't loud enough to hear.

Ignoring the last bit I hand him fifteen dollars. Right when I think I've gotten away he speaks again.

"Oh here's a napkin!" He slides it across the booth.

Mustering a half assed smile I swipe it and practically run.

"Harley you've got yourself an admirer." Ally looks down at the napkin in my hand. Flipping it over I see what she's meaning. This guy was desperate for some action.

He gave me his number instead, since I didn't give mine.

When we walk passed a trash can I quickly chuck it in.

"I don't need any thanks."

"That guy was such an asshole." Drew practically grunts.

"He was creepy." I add walking into theatre eleven.

Settling in our seats I rest my popcorn on my lap and get comfortable. Drew and Harley have their food that they luckily got from a different cashier.

After all the ads Avengers Infinity Wars finally starts.

**********

"That was worth waiting five years." Drew says while throwing his trash in the wastebin.

"I hate to say it but it was actually really good for an action movie." Ally expresses.

When we leave the dark building the sun blares brightly at us causing me to squint.

"It's too bright out here." I groan.

Ally glances my way through her rose gold shades. "You vampire." She shakes her head tutting.

We all pile back into the car exiting the theatre's parking lot.

"Please tell me I'm not the only one with mountains of homework left."

"Sorry Lee Lee, I'm done mine." Drew shrugs fake apologetically. Ally always procrastinated till the last minute.

When the ginger looks at me with hope I shake my head. "I finished mine also."

"How are you guys done already?" She complains leaning back against the seat throwing her hands up.

"Uh, perhaps 'cause we do it the night we get it instead of the day before it's due?" Drew questions.

"Y'all are nerds." She huffs out.

Pausing at a stop sign Drew looks a Ally through the rear view mirror. "So I presume we're dropping you off so you actually get it in on time?"

"I guess," she drawls out slightly pouting. She may be good at school but that doesn't mean she enjoys it.

We stop in front of the red brick house and Ally slowly slides out of the car. She's the type of person that if she studies around people, she won't get anything done.

Drew and I go back to his house to play some COD on his Xbox. His house always feels homier and more alive than mine.

Walking through the door I smile when Indigo comes charging at me, smiling widely herself.

"Indigo, how could you do this to me?" Drew exclaims dramatically. "You've, replaced me."

"You haven't been replaced," I pause. "I've always been the favourite."

Her scoffs and looks offended. "Excuse me? Indigo you like me better right?" He bends a little to her level.

She happily looks between the two of us before bounding to Beth who's been watching in the kitchen doorway.

"You guys should both know," Beth stands with a hand on her hip. "That I'm Indigo's favourite."

We laugh and agree, the dog is smart and knows who the food comes from. Leaving Indigo trailing Beth, me and Drew go to his room.

Flopping back on his big fluffy bed I let him set up the console. Once he's turned everything on he hands me a controller then lays next to me.

"You ready to go down, Davidson?"

I snort unlady like. "Hah, in your dreams, Deacon!"

"You're in my dreams." I whip my head away from the television screen to look at him. "Losing."

I grab a nearby pillow and whack him before throwing it at his head. His booming laughter is contagious as I start laughing too.

Drew and I get very competitive playing Call Of Duty. So far the scores are three each for a tie, therefore this is the tiebreaker.

Bringing my legs under me I shuffle into a more comfortable position. All that's heard in the room is the buttons clicking as our fingers wildly press them. Our eyes dead set focused on the screen barely taking time to blink.

Let the games begin.
