"Hello? Ally?"

"You said a date?" So my best friend is still alive.

"Uh, yeah."

"And you said yes?!"

"Yeah," I respond hesitantly.

"So let me get this straight, Cody Spears asked you out on a date?"

"Yes," I confirm for probably the fifth time. "You got it now?"

"Girl this is a chat we need face to face, not over some piece of glass and metal. Hang on a sec," I hear her yell something but can't decipher what was said. "Great, my mom has given me permission to leave the nest, I'm coming over." Then she promptly hangs up, no doubt throwing stuff into an overnight bag.

The girl can move efficiently when she wants to.

I change into my night clothes while I wait, nobody wants to put their pyjamas on when they're half asleep. It only takes around six minutes before I here hurried footsteps racing up the stairs.

"Okay!" Ally bursts into my room throwing her bag haphazardly into a corner. "We can now continue. So did he tell you where it's going to be?"

"No-"

"What?" She exclaims rather loudly. "How do we know how to dress you then? Why do guys always do this?"

"Relax, I'll just ask him at school."

"Did he give you his number?"

Oh yeah that idea never crossed my mind. "Uh, no."

"So you're going on a date with a dude that didn't tell you where, and you don't even have his number?"

"Yeah pretty much." I laugh at Ally's unimpressed expression.

"How'd he ask you out?"

"Well, we were at the park playing with his little sist-"

"Wait he has a sister?" She cuts me off.

"Yes he does, now let me continue." And I proceed to tell her how he asked me, from us sitting on the bench to Cody getting nervous and very un-Cody like.

"Wow." Ally falls back into my pillows so that she's laying down. "I would've killed to see Cody Spears get nervous. Though I must say if he's up against that-" she looks my figure lying beside her up and down," -I can see why he's nervous. You're hot girl."

We lapse into silence just thinking in our heads for a bit.

"Drew's going to be pissed." I groan, not knowing how I let that slip my mind.

Ally mutters something under her breath but I don't catch it, it almost sounds like 'he should've done it himself then'.

"What was that?" I turn my head to look at the red head suspiciously.

"Just saying that he'll have to deal with it. Drew can't keep you away from boys forever."

I laugh and roll my eyes. He's like that protective older brother that scares boys away. "No, he just won't be very happy. I hope he doesn't get too mad at me."

"He might get mad at first, but I don't think he's able to stay mad at you for long." It always feels weird whenever Drew or I have a grudge against the other.
