How's life my people?

Hope ya'll like this cause it's really long and was fun to write. Feel free to 'awww' with me lol.

Andrew

Ugh kill me now.

I still can't believe Harley has a boyfriend, and Cody of all people.

He's the only one that doesn't listen to my threats.

It takes so much self control to not march out of the room when I see them together. Whenever he says something to her and she quietly giggles, that should be with me.

But there's three main outcomes if I were to confess. One, she actually- very surprisingly- likes me too. Two, she doesn't, and absolutely hates me. Fine not hates me, but dislikes me. Or three, she thinks she does but she doesn't.

People are always saying you need to take the leap of faith in love. But I don't think I can. I could never live with a broken friendship between Harley and I. She's been my solid rock since day one, always by my side helping me.

I wouldn't be me without her.

So many times I wonder to myself why she's even friends with me. She's a beautiful girl, she could be anyone's friend. The only reason the 'it' girls at school bully and taunt her is because they're jealous. They can't achieve half her natural beauty with their pounds of makeup.

But that's just Harley; a wonderful selfless person. She has made many sacrifices on my behalf, as I have for her too. One notable time I can recall, is when she cancelled her plans to go to the school dance with another boy, to go with me instead. I had a date but she bailed on me and went with someone else. I wasn't heartbroken per say, as I wasn't emotionally attached to her; but alas, Harley was absolutely devastated that I'd be going alone.

So she forgot about the kid that she was previously going with, somehow forgetting that he'd now be going alone, and invited me instead.

(13 years old)

"That's not very nice of her," she shakes her head forcefully, seeming madder about the situation than me.

"It's okay." I try to console her.

"No!" She exclaims. "The dance is tomorrow night, what kind of dumb person bails so late."

I'm about to reply when she jumps up with a gasp.

"Wait here, I need to do something." She dashes out of my room leaving me confused.

Unsure of what to do I decide to listen to my best friend and wait till she returns. About ten minutes later I hear her running back up the stairs.

"What'd you do?" I question her suspiciously when she comes in with a big grin.

"Nothing!" She plops into the chair across from me again. "Let's finish our homework now."

Even though I can still detect something fishy happening, I let it go for now.

By the time we're finished our work it's supper time. My mom baked scalloped potatoes with steak, which makes the house's aroma really delicious.

Like usual Harley stayed for dinner with my parents and I. She claims that my mom cooks better than hers. Not that any of us are allowed to tell Myra Davidson Harley's opinion.

Before long Duke is here to pick Harley up, her parents don't want her walking home in the evening by herself.

Stifling a yawn I opt to the hit the hay before I actually, literally, do.
