How can one person be so photogenic and pretty??
Are you a photogenic person or have more difficulty like me?

"What about this?"
"No." Ally shakes her head, a few loose tendrils of her red hair falls in her face.
"This?" I hold up a green blouse.
"Hell no."
"Okay," I throw the shirt back in my drawers. "Oh definitely this one!" I gasp dramatically.
With an utterly disgusted and scrunched face. "No. Zebra print died like twenty years ago. Why do you even still have that?
Shrugging, I look at the pants that I hold in my hands and the blinding black and white zig-zags. "I don't know, guess I kind of forgot about them."
"Not sure how you can forget about something so hideous." She retorts digging through my racks and drawers.
"Hey what about this?" I hold up a loose fitting baby blue to navy blue ombre shirt.
"Yes, that's so pretty!" Immediately dumping any clothing in her hands Ally rushes over. "Since when have you owned this, have you even worn it before?"
Copying her scruntinizing look I study the top looking for any fading or crease marks. None.
Must've been something my mother bought me a while ago.
"Pair that with the light grey sweater we looked at and some dark jeans." After surprisingly quickly grabbing said articles of clothing she pushes me into the bathroom. "You said Cody is supposed to pick you up at six right? 'Cause it's already five o'clock and your hair still needs to be done."
"Yeah," I yell over the noise of the shower I just turned on. It doesn't take me very long to shampoo and condition my hair and before I know it I'm dressed in the outfit we picked.
Running the brush through my damp but freshly curled hair one last time I open the bathroom door.
"What do you think?"
Sitting up she gives me a swift once over. "You look smokin girl, if you and Cody don't work out I might just snatch you."
"Thanks," I laugh.
Glancing at the clock I still have about fifteen minutes to spare. Plopping beside Ally on the bed I sit carefully to not ruin my hair.
"Has he given any hints of where's he taking you?" Ally asks from her lying down position.
"Nope," I shake my head feeling the curls move with it. "He said he wanted it be a complete surprise for me."
"Why do guys always want to surprise you girls?" She asks groaning.
I chuckle at her antics. "Because some girls like the suspense and mystery." I turn my body to the right a bit so I can face her more.
She quirks an eyebrow unimpressed. "But what if your date brings you somewhere you hate?"
"But what if they bring you somewhere you love?" I fire back.
Before she can argue back the chime of the door bell echos throughout the empty house.
"Tell me everything!" Ally quickly yells to me before I'm out of my room.
As I approach I hear voices already. Great.
Turning the corner just as I expected my dad is standing there talking to Cody. Before he can say anything too embarrassing or scare him off I rush in.
"Hey Cody," his blue eyes find mine.
"Hey Harley," he offers a genuine smile. Wearing a light blue button up he paired it with some nice dark wash jeans; plus the classic bad boy leather jacket. The blue contrasting with his eyes making them pop a little more. His blonde locks appear to be combed, taming the messy mop he ususally has at school.
"Okay Dad," I start walking towards our grey front door. "We're leaving now, bye."
"Okay kids," he stands in the open door frame watching us walk down the lane way to Cody's awaiting car. "Have fun! And remember when you-"
"Dad please stop!" I cut him off knowing where that's going.
His laughter fills the air until he returns inside.
Once Cody and I are both inside the car I give him an apologetic smile.
"Sorry about my Dad, please tell me he didn't say anything threatening or of that matter."
Chuckling, he momentarily takes his eyes off the road to glance at me. "Your Dad's cool. No threats, just wanted to know who I was and what my intentions were."
I nod my head still not believing him, my dad could never question something with an innocent intention. "So you going to tell me where we're going yet?"
"Nope," he grins. "I already told you, it's-"
"A surprise," I groan. "I know."
Flashing me a cheeky smile he puts his signal indicator on. "Then why'd you bother ask?"
Crossing my arms over my chest I relax into the cozy leather covered chairs. This is the first time I've been inside his precious mustang, it was surprisingly clean and, nice.
"Will you at least give me a hint?"
"We're almost there." Is his ever so helpful answer.
Giving up on figuring out where he's driving me I try studying the street names instead. Hah, like that's going to work. My sense of direction is terrible. Only way I'm able to know where I'm going is if I take that route or road at least thrice a week.
"How's Laney doing?" Right away a warm smile fills his face.
"Good, misses you like usual."
"I just saw her," I lightly laugh.
"Doesn't matter to her." He shrugs his shoulders that have a black jacket adorned on them.
Noticing that the comforting rumble of the sports car has vanished I whip my head towards the window. We're now parked in a large parking lot surrounded by a decent amount of others, only a few empty spaces linger between a few vehicles.
"You really brought me here?" I question not looking in Cody's direction at all.
"Yeah," stepping out of the car I'm out before he can open my door. "Do you like it?" He asks with a hint of nervousness.
"I love it." I respond feeling the excitement build up in me, it's been too long since I've come here.
