Too bad I couldn't line this up with the actual Christmas Day. Although, with my speed I could possibly achieve that.

Harley
Carrying on tradition the Deacon and Davidson households spend Christmas Eve together. Ally's mother likes to spend the holidays with close family instead.
An unspoken rule was at one point made, we couldn't bring our boyfriend or girlfriend for dinner. It is solely time for our two families.
But before we eat we always play many rounds of Mario Kart on the Wii. Drew and I were brought up playing this classic game, and I don't think we're going to stop anytime soon.
"Hey, stop throwing all of your shells at me!"
"Not my problem I'm in first and you're second."
"Actually, it is."
"Quit complaining, I'm in fifth." My dad grumbles at the two of us.
"Make that sixth," Scott speeds passed my dad leaving him in the dust, and with a banana peel.
My dad just grunts hunching over and channels his energy into focusing more, choosing to ignore his friend.
Faintly in the background I hear our mothers chatting in the kitchen. They're not as big of Mario kart fans as we are. Or any video game for that matter.
Hours pass by as the four of us play back to back races against each other. We're interrupted when my mom announces dinner is ready. Setting aside my controller I'm suddenly aware of the delicious aroma wafting throughout the house.
Entering into the kitchen it's the epitome of Christmas. Various red and green fairy lights adorn the cupboard space, effectively lighting up the space. A few modern looking garlands are hanging above the sink, along with red candles spread about. Silver tinsel is wrapped around the light fixtures giving off a sparkling eye catching display.
Once everyone is seated the food is quickly dished out amongst everyone's plates.
"Well done like usual ladies," my dad says when we're finished.
"Yeah," Scott wipes his mouth with the dark red napkin. "Very well done."
"It's good." Drew and I chorus together, adding our two cents.
"Good enough that you'll do it next year?" Beth teases Scott. We all know it's a blessing my mom cooks and not my dad. Scott however, can actually cook decently.
"We all know it'll taste better when you and Myra do it." Scott grins.
After dishes have been cleaned and put away Drew and I leave the adults to talk, retiring to my room.
"What's it going to be?" Drew asks once he's comfily flopped onto my bed.
Snuggling beside him I flick through the movies. "I'm kind of feeling a hallmark one, nothing better than a super predictable, romantic, and cheesy movie."
Like expected he groans loudly. "But those are boring."
"But we watched what you wanted to watch last Christmas." I counter already knowing I'm going to win.
He narrows his hazel eyes at me before huffing. "Fine, just don't pick an over the top one."
"Of course not, I would never dream of doing such a thing." I smile sarcastically, then proceed to choose the cheesiest one I could find.
He releases an annoyed sigh and shuffles so that he can rest his head on my shoulder.
"No falling asleep," I tap his head, knowing that he just closed his eyes.
