Mackenzie's POV My alarm clock goes off at exactly 7:30 am. My eyes adjust to the sunlight as I slowly get up and stretch. Reaching for my scrunchie, I throw my hair up into a messy bun. Just the thought of walking into school today made me groan. I seriously despise school. Walking into the bathroom, I take a cold shower and brush my teeth. I rummage around and throw together a good enough outfit.

I glance in the mirror as the same words race in my mind. Ugly Fat Useless Stupid Worthless Tears prick my eyes. No matter how hard I try, I will never be enough. As I wipe my tears away, my eyes are drawn to my window, as I see a figure staring at me with a sympathetic look. Staring at me with gorgeous green eyes. Eyes I used to get lost in. I storm over and angrily close the curtains. I take a deep breath and sit down at my desk, applying my makeup. I throw my hair into a high ponytail and pull everything I need.
