***Carters POV***

Derek doesn't like us! So she told Serenity that we were bad and made her not trust us! That's why she was freaking out about being touched. Gahh I hate that guy. Right now she's just telling is to stop touching her.

It hurts my heart. She's been with us two weeks and one of them she was in the hospital for. We are the worst parents ever. I don't even know how she's feeling.

"IT'S ALL HIS FAULT!" I screamed out of nowhere. The boys will understand. They asked me why I was acting strange when we left Serenity's room and I explained to them about my suspicions for Derek.

They understood and even agreed with me that something, we don't know what exactly, but something is very off about him.

"Carter, I think you're right" Nash said with Cam nodding. "Maybe, we'll never know" Aaron piped in. Serenity was eyeing everyone as if we were crazy. I don't blame her tho, were having this whole conversation and she has no clue what were talking about.

"We'll discuss this later" I said motioning towards Serenity. They all nodded then turned back around.

I heard a faint voice whisper "I knew they were gonna be crazy, just like the rest!" I'm guessing that was Serenity.

Wait does she think we're crazy? She thinks we're crazy! She thinks that we-her new family- are lunatics! That's why she doesn't trust us. Derek probably told her that we're freaking mental or something!?!?

I wonder what she's thinking right now. She's just sitting there staring out the window frowning. She has been through so much yet she can carry on as if nothing's wrong, and she's been doing that for a long time, so why is she starting to show her feelings now?

I don't understand

***Derek's POV***

Serenity is like the daughter I've never had. All I want to do is protect her from everything including those Magcon boys. Yes I know who they are, I'm 26 not dead.

But knowing that they adopted my little Renity, I did some research. They are known for they're funny vines but the target audience is teen girls around the age of 13-18. Which means my fragile little girl is gonna get hate and lots of it.

I don't know if she can handle that. She is so young and fragile a few hate comments will make the biggest impact on her. Back on topic tho these Magcon boys are worse than frat brothers. They party all the time, they drink, and they might even do drugs, you never know!

That's bad for Serenity. Really bad.

So you see my concern? Serenity seems to like them enough tho, so I wanna be subtle with showing her how bad they are.

When she spaced out I was whispering to her. 'The magcon boys are bad!' 'They're just want to hurt you' and I guess her brain interpreted it but she didn't hear my voice but her own!

They may be a bad influence and party boys but the are not completely brain dead, Carter I think his name is, is starting to catch on.

And he'll tell the rest of the boys.

Which is not what I want.

Once she's out of that house with those boys I'll do my best to make sure she gets the home she deserves.
