***Taylors POV***

The absolute worst part of being a parent is the jealousy that comes with it when you see your kid with someone they could love more than you, so when I saw that annoying police officer standing next to Serenitys bed trying to make her feel better the jealousy I was feeling went straight through the goddamn ceiling.

"Why are you here Derek?" I asked as nicely as I could for wanting to punch him in the face. How did he even get back here before me?

"Oh I'm notified whenever Serenity is checked into a hospital. Plus I guessed it would be nice to see a friendly face when she woke up" he said smugly.

"Well that's great and all but can you leave now" I said rudely it you can't really blame me.

"Nah, I'm going to stay for a bit and keep her company" he said cockily because he knew I couldn't do anything about it.

Serenity cleared her throat and looked around awkwardly. "so guys, is there something I'm missing here" she asked. I shook my head no and left the room in huff and Cameron followed me out the door.

"Hey Taylor, I know how much that guy grinds your gears believe me he pisses me off too but if you let him get to you it means you're letting him win" Cam said rubbing my shoulders.

"I know but I swear to god I'm going to punch him" I said running a hand through my hair.

"why does he think it's ok to be such a dick?" I asked. "I don't know maybe it's because he doesn't like us that much" Cam said and I nodded.

"Mr.Caniff?" a nurse asked and I looked up. "that's me" I said and she walked over to Cam and I.

"Could you explain to me what happened" she asked nicely and I nodded.

"we were at the pool in our hotel and we were just playing around but Serenity stayed out of the water and so we thought she was just sun tanning or something so we threw her in but then she said she couldn't swim so I jumped in and pulled out of the pool." I explained

"We didn't know she couldn't swim" I added then she thanked us and walked away.

After I cooled down a bit Cam and I decided to go back and see Serenity again. We went to her room and all the boys were there and thankfully Derek wasn't.

I sat down next to Nash and he patted me on the back and asked how I was. "I'm fine but that Derek guy really ticks me off" I said and he agreed.

"So when do I get out of this awful place?" Serenity asked from her hospital bed. "I'll go ask" Shawn said then left the room.

"Listen Serenity, we are so sorry about almost drowning you we had no idea you couldn't swim" I said quickly and she chuckled a bit. "it's fine, I should've told you sooner" she said and we all had a big group hug.

We all sat back down then started chatting with eachother but soon 10 minutes went by then 15 but Shawn still hasn't come back yet.

"Hey I'm just going to go check up on Shawn and see what's taking him so long" I said leaving the room and walking back to the waiting room.

I looked around for Shawn and saw him little ways away and he seemed to be arguing with someone.

I went over to see Matthew (Sherrill) trying to get past but Shawn was blocking him.

"Ugh what do you want" I asked getting annoyed with Matthew and his douche bag personality. "I came to see Serenity" he stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world which it was.

"Yeah no shit but why" I asked. "because I want to talk to her" he said then rolled his eyes. "let me think about that, no" I said and he scoffed "I'm not going to do anything, I just want to talk to her" he said and I looked at Shawn and he slightly shook his head no.

"Ok" I said and Shawn looked stunned and so did Matthew. "really?" Matthew asked and I laughed. "oh god of course not" I said and he groaned and started to leave the building.

What and idiot.
