The dress

***Nash's POV***

It's the day before the Gala for Serenity's identity being revealed and to say she is excited is an understatement. She keeps yelling and running around.

She gasped really loud and over exaggeratedly. "I NEED A DATE" She screamed. My over protective older brother side kicked in and so did the rest of the boys.

"NO DATES. NOPE. ZELCH, ZIPPO, NONE, ZERO!" we all yelled.

"Boys will just break your heart and we don't want that." Taylor said.

"Seriously? I'm a big girl I can handle myself!" Serenity said raising her eyebrows.

"Oh, I have an idea! Hayes can be your date" I suggested.

"No way. I can't have my brother as a date! That's weird" she said shaking her head no.

"Its Hayes or no date" Cam said.

"Fine Hayes can be my date, Come on since you're my date you can see my dress!" She said linking arms with him.

"Wait no, I wanna see your dress!" I said.

"Me too" Taylor whined.

"Same here" Matt and Carter said.

"Yeah so do I" Cam said.

"Yeah but Hayes is my date so suck it up butter cups" Serenity said laughing.

"I'm your date now, let's go see that dress of yours" I said latching myself onto her.

"Um no I'm her date, let's go" Matt said prying me off her.

"Y'all have 5 minuets to figure out who's going to be my date or else I'll take Tanner anyways." She said and we all launched into an argument.

It was between Shawn and Hayes now. We all backed out for the same reason.

We are to old to be her date and people would give us shit for that.

Shawn and Hayes were playing Rock Paper Scissors and Hayes won which means, he's going to be her date.

"Yay I win, let's go see that dress." He said skipping up the stairs with Serenity following behind.

"Wait why does it matter who see my dress now and who doesn't?" she asked standing at the top of the staircase.

"Well we all wanted to make sure it was good enough for you, but we couldn't agree on someone so we just made a deal. Whoever see's it first gets to decide." Cam explained.

"Ok then?" She said taking Hayes into her room.

***Hayes' POV***

We went to her room and she closed the door.

Ok to be honest, I have had a slight crush on her since the day she came here but she's like family to me, I wouldn't date her it'd be weird.

"Ok what I'm about to show you is top secret and the looks of it are not to be repeated." She said and I nodded.

She pulled out a dress bag and unzipped it.

Honestly I'm excited to see her dress before the rest of the boys. It's always one of them, I never have bonding time with her.

She pulled out a pale blue, strapless dress. It had beads on it and it was really pretty.

"That's actually really nice." I said and she laughed. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say here so it was kinda awkward.

"Thank you" she said admiring the dresses.

"Should I match my tie with it?" I asked.

She gasped running around again.

"Yes. yes you should" she practically sang out.

"Ok then so are you nervous?" I asked her.

"Honestly in more nervous than excited." she admitted.

"Why?" I asked. Why on earth could she be nervous, all they are doing is announcing her name to the world to make people aware of her existence.

"Because like what if your fans hate me and I know I'm going to get hate no matter what but I don't want to get it" she rambled.

"Our fans won't hate you. They'll love you if we love you and if they don't then they're not true fans" I told her.

She relaxed a bit but still seemed worried.

"I guess you are right, but I'm still nervous" she said flopping down on her bed.

"That's understandable" I said flopping down beside her.

"Do you ever feel like your surrounded?" She asked staring at the ceiling.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Like living with 10 other people and the constant security and the fans all the time, do you ever feel like it's too much" she asked.

I turned my head towards hers.

"I guess it is a lot and it gets quiet hectic some times, so yeah sometimes I feel surrounded." I admit to her.

"When I was in the orphanage I was alone all the time. No roommate, no supervisors, no friends, then Taylor and Cam showed up and adopted me." She said looking at me.

"I thought it'd be just them but then we came to this house and there was a lot more of you. I wasn't used to it, hell I'm still not used to it and now we are throwing in fans, haters, security and other viners, it's a lot, I don't know if I can handle it" She said sighing.

"I totally understand how you feel. I wasn't popular or everyone's favourite guy in school so I was pretty alone too, then I grew bigger on vine and here I am with all the boys and everyone else. It's a lot to take in but you'll be just fine" I assured her.

"If you say so" she said unsure.

"I know so" I told her.
