Phil

After they cleaned up all the glass they sat down on the couch and ate the breakfast Dan prepared.

"It's been years since someone made me breakfast." Phil said before taking another bite. "Wait are you serious?" Dan asked confused.

Phil nodded, "Yeah, my dad leaves early in the morning and my mom is never up before I go to school." he shrugged, "Then again, even if she was I don't think she would make me breakfast."

"Why do you think that is?" "Our family is really set on independence and taking care of yourself. You don't just do stuff for another." Phil looked down at his plate when taking another bite. "That sounds... kinda sad..." Phil looked up to see Dan looking genuinely worried.

"It's not sad... just lonely sometimes." Phil looked down again, "And they mean it well, they wanted to make me strong for the real world you know."

"Did it work? Like... do you feel stronger because of the way they raised you?"

Phil snorted softly, "No, the opposite. I mean I don't expect anything from anyone, but I also feel like whatever I do it's never good enough you know?" he looked Dan in the eye. "I know they will never be satisfied."

Dan shook his head, "They're wrong, you know that right?"

"Would you think that if your mom told you you were weak?" Phil kept looking at Dan for a few seconds and then looked down, "Sorry, that was uncalled for."

"No no, you're right," Dan put his hand on Phil's knee, "I shouldn't pretend to know what it's like. I'm sorry."

Phil looked at Dan's hand and looked slowly up, "Thanks..." Dan just nodded and smiled for a second. Then he grabbed his plate and put it on the salon table. He pulled his legs on the couch and looked Phil dead in the eye, "Serious question..."

"Eh okay, go ahead.." Phil frowned. Dan inhaled deeply. "What's your favorite color?"

Phil bursted out into laughter, "Wow I was really bracing myself for the worst there."

Dan grinned, "I realized I know so many deep shit about you, but not the basics. So therefore, what's your favorite color?" Phil put his plate away as well and nodded, "That makes sense. Blue, my favorite color is blue."

Phil looked at Dan for a while expectingly. "This is the part where you say what your favorite color is."

"Oh right.. well I don't know if I have one. My favorite one to wear is definitely black." Dan made a gesture at the clothes he was wearing. "But I like gold, red, white, blue as well."

"I'm just gonna keep it on black then." Phil grinned. "Hobbies?"

"Eh... piano? Kinda, but I can't play very well." Dan shrugged, "but the internet is my full time hobby."

"Same." Phil smiled. He looked at Dan and saw the dark circles under his eyes, he looked exhausted.

"Did you have more nightmares?" Phil said seriously all of a sudden. Dan looked away and shook his head, "Nah, not really."

Phil put his hand on his shoulder, "Let's do something fun today, get your mind off of it."

Dan looked back timidly. "You don't have to do that."

"Well I'm not just doing it for you," Phil said nonchalant, "I also just want to be around you some more."

Dan smiled for just second before it faltered, "Really Phil, you can go home, I'll be fine."

This drove Phil crazy, how couldn't Dan see how much he liked him. Why did he think it was a burden to be around him?! He was amazing. Phil threw his head back in the couch, covering his face with his hands and grunted loudly. "Daaaaaaaannnn!" Phil exclaimed. When he removed his hands he saw Dan looking at the ground, sitting on the edge of the couch.

Phil slid off of the couch onto ground and sat right in front of Dan in between his knees so he was forced to look Phil in the eye. "Dan... I want to spend time with you..." Dan turned his face away from Phil but he wouldn't have it and put both of his hands on Dan's cheeks. He now saw Dan was tearing up.

"What's wrong?" Phil asked worried. Dan closed his eyes and a tear rolled down.

"The last time I got this close to someone..." his voice broke.

Phil shook his head. "Dan look at me." Slowly Dan opened his eyes.

"I will never treat you the way he did, okay? Never!" Phil felt himself choking up, he hated seeing Dan in pain like this. Another tear rolled down Dan's cheek, "I don't know if I can trust anyone again the way I did before." He sad softly, his voice rough.

"I know it's hard, you don't have to trust me immediately, but give me a chance to prove myself." Phil was almost begging at this point. "Please just give it some time, don't push me away." he saw the look in Dan's eyes soften, like they were giving in to something they wanted for so long.

With Dan's face still between his hands Phil moved his body up, getting his face closer to Dan's. "Alright?" he whispered. He felt his breath shaking, still slowly getting closer to Dan.

Dan looked at Phil's eyes, down at Phil's lips and at Phil's eyes again. "Alright." he sighed and he pushed his face forward, causing their lips to touch.

Phil felt ecstatic, tingles buzzing all through his face at the feeling of Dan's lips on his. He slowly pushed himself further up, causing the contact between their lips to become more rough. Dan now put his hand on Phil's back and pulling their body's closer together.

Phil's head was exploding, Dan's lips felt soft and smooth and... well just amazing. He could feel his body shudder and his heartbeat racing. He let one of his hands slide down to the back of Dan's neck and the other one up into his hair. He felt Dan's breath on his face, which was really shaky.

Somehow he knew exactly what to do even though he had no idea what he was doing.
