Phil

His first kiss. He could still feel it glowing al over his face even though it stopped minutes ago. They decided to go into town and have some fun but Phil couldn't think of anything that was more fun than what they just did.

Dan

Dan was upstairs gathering his bag and wallets and stuff for the rest of the day. He felt extremely confused. Yes he was crushing hard on Phil and that kiss was amazing. But the timing was simply awful. When he was with Phil he forgot about Spencer, but he couldn't pretend like it never happened. It did and he needed to deal with it. But maybe Phil could help him deal with it.

For now he wanted to forget though. He wanted to have fun with Phil today. He just wanted to have fun, enjoy himself. So for now, he was gonna pretend like yesterday never happened, for his sanity. And for Phil.

Quickly he grabbed everything he needed and went back downstairs. Phil was sitting on the couch and didn't hear him come in. He looked fucking adorable. He had his hands clasped together on his lap, staring at them, smiling. He looked like he was somewhere else with his mind, like he was dreaming.

"I'm ready to go." Dan said, grinning at the sight of Phil. Phil looked up startled, "Oh eh... yes... yes let's go." He stood up. "What do you wanna do?"

They went around town the entire day. They saw a movie, went mini golfing, had lunch in a restaurant. And it actually helped. During the day, when he was around Phil, Dan's mind was on a cloud. He saw the world through hearth-shaped glasses. Phil made him forget about the pain and the worry, he made Dan smile.

They didn't show any sign of affection that day, knowing that Phil wasn't ready for that in public. But Dan didn't care, just being around each other was enough for him.

Around 4 o'clock Phil's phone started blowing up with texts from his mom. Apparently she didn't appreciate him staying away for the night so Dan drove him back home.

He parked at the beginning of Phil's street so his parents couldn't see them together.

"What are you gonna tell them?" Dan asked. Phil shrugged, "Just that I hung out with a friend and I forgot to text them saying I was gonna sleepover." He didn't seem to bothered. "You don't think they're gonna be mad?"

"Maybe... I'll just say I was studying with that friend and it will be fine for sure." Phil looked over to Dan, "And even if they get mad, it would've been worth it." he smiled.

Dan felt butterflies when he smiled like that. "Thank you..." he whispered. "For what?" Phil frowned. Dan grinned and looked at his lap. "Just... or convincing me to give this a chance." He waited for Phil to respond but there was only silence. Dan looked up to see Phil had moved over and was only inches away from Dan's face.

"You're welcome." Phil said with a smirk. Dan could feel his breath on his face and it made everything tingle. He slowly pushed himself up so their lips touched. Dan inhaled deeply through his nose when he felt Phil kissing him back. His entire face was glowing.

Dan moved his arm towards Phil and rested his hand on Phil's knee. Their kiss got more intense and Dan could feel himself getting excited. He pulled back slowly and looked up into the bluest, most beautiful eyes on the planet.

"I should go." Phil whispered. "I'll see you Monday at school?" Dan just nodded. He felt like he didn't have enough breath to speak. Phil smiled again and opened the car door to get out. Dan watched him walk away towards his house.

After a few steps Phil turned around and waved. Dan waved back. He felt like he was flying. Even though their kiss had already ended he could still feel Phil's lips on his. Dan smiled to himself and placed his forehead on the steering wheel. He felt like screaming and dancing and everything at the same time.

Once his heartbeat and his breath had calmed down Dan started the car and drove home. He turned up the radio and started singing along loudly, something he hadn't done in a long time. He felt invincible. Nothing bothered him anymore. Nothing could get him down.

That feeling lasted about a minute, until he got home and saw his mom's car parked in the driveway. What the hell? She was not suppose to be home until tomorrow. Then it sinked in. He still had to tell her. He had to go inside, face his mother and explain to her what happened to him.

He parked his car and slammed the steering wheel out of anger. He could only imagine how sad she was gonna be. He could already hear her voice full of pity. Oh my dear sweetheart, how could they do this to you? This was gonna suck real bad.

He got out of the car and walked towards the front door. He feet got heavier with every step he took. He knew he had to tell her immediately, else he couldn't do it at all. He opened the door and saw his mom lying on the couch, watching some cooking show.

"Hi sweetie!" she exclaimed and got up to hug Dan. "Oh I missed you so much!" Dan hesitantly hugged her back. "I thought you'd be back tomorrow?" "Oh yes," His mom pulled away from the hug, "the last course got cancelled so we all got to go home one day early? Isn't that great?" She held Dan's face in between her hands. She looked so happy.

She let him go and walked towards the couch, "For once I thought we could just order some food maybe, I cooked a lot these past two days." She let herself fall on the couch, "And I mean a lot." she gestured.

"Mom... I need to tell you something." Dan could already feel himself break inside, but his mom was to preoccupied with the remote to notice. "Sure sweetie, come sit. God why won't it change channels again?! The repair man said he fixed it." She hit the remote a few time, trying to make it work.

Dan walked over to her and sat next to her on the couch. "Mom... something happened..." His mom looked up and saw that something was wrong. She turned off the tv and put down the remote, "What is it sweetie?"

Her face went from ecstatic to worried in a split second. "Did they bully you?" Dan shrugged, "Something like that... but worse..." he felt his breath choke. Don't cry you motherfucker, don't you dare let her see you cry.

"Honey... What is it?" His mom put her arm around him.

Dan took a deep breath, "Spencer... assaulted me..." He couldn't look her in the eye so he just stared at his own feet. "What do you mean?" he could hear the worry in her voice increasing. Dan closed his eyes, feeling his cheeks turn red at the embarrassment. "Like... sexually..."

He heard his mother gasp and covering her mouth with her hand. When he opened his eyes and looked over he saw that she was tearing up. "Did he... touch you?" her voice was shaky and high pitched, like she could burst into tears at any second.

"No... not... not really." Dan looked back down. "He just... pinned me against the wall..." He rolled up he sleeves a little bit so his mom could see the bruises on his wrists. She gasped again, turning her head away this time. "Oh my poor baby...." she whispered, the first tear now rolling down her cheek.

Seeing this was like a knife in Dan's heart. His mom was crying... and it was his fault... "Really mom, he didn't touch me in that way, he just.... pushed himself up against me...." he felt his voice going softer near the end of the sentence. Explaining this was one of the hardest things he ever had to do.

His mom moved closer to him so she could hug him, sobbing on his shoulder. "My little boy..." She sniffed.

"It's fine mom..." Dan was trying with all the power in his body not to cry, he had to be strong for her. "I'm fine..."
