Part 41

Phil

Walking onto the school yard, Phil glances back at the parking lot, at the spot furthest away from the school. As always Dan's car was parked there, and he was leaning against it. Phil hadn't talked to him after Friday night and he wasn't planning to. He couldn't remember what had happened but he was pretty sure he made a fool of himself.

More interesting now was Nick, standing next to Dan, also leaning against his car. "Why is Nick standing with Dan?" Phil asked when he arrived at his new group of friends. Bart and Dennis were watching a video on Bart's phone together with a few other jocks and Spencer was smoking with Jessica under his arm.

"Good morning to you too, womanizer." Spencer gave Phil a wink and Jessica giggled. Phil could feel his cheeks turning red. "Hey Phil! Heard you got it on with Mia last Friday!" Dennis smirked and gave him a nod. 

"Yeah congratulations." Bart laughed, "Now you're officially part of our group!" Phil frowned, "Why does that make me a part of this group?" he scratched the back of his head.

Dennis shrugged, "It's kind of tradition to give the new guy a night with Mia." he said nonchalant. Phil's eyes widened, "What?! So you've all...?" Phil let his eyes go around the group of guys. Every one just nodded or shrugged and grinned. Spencer put his hands up in defense, "I haven't. My eyes have always been on this girl." He says before pulling Jessica close and kissing her forehead.

Phil looked down at his feet. Honestly he doesn't even know why his is surprised. He knew it meant way more to him than it did to Mia, but that doesn't change the fact that he really did like her and she was his first. 

Spencer seemed to notice Phil's thoughts. He gave him a soft shoulder bump. "Hey don't take it too personally, it's just a stupid joke." he shrugged. "And they're lying, not all of them have slept with Mia." Jessica added. "She's not a whore or something." she rolled her eyes.

 "Yeah and hey if you ask me, she actually did like you." Spencer nodded. "Really?" Phil asked a little too fast, coming over a little too desperate. "Yeah man, totally." Spencer gave him an encouraging look, making Phil actually feel a little better.

"So what's up with Nick?" Phil pointed back to the parking lot, where Nick and Dan were still standing together, talking. Spencer's squinted his eyes looking at them. "Nothing... he's a fucking traitor." he spat out. Then he looked back at Phil and relaxes again. "Don't worry about it."

Dan

"Okay so you're not gonna like this..." Nick cringed while pulling out his phone. "But I may have an idea to get rid of Spencer..." 

"You're gonna call him?" Dan smirked. 

"Very funny, but no." Nick rolled his eyes. "And we don't have to do this if you don't want to." Nick put a hand on Dan's shoulder as reassurance.

Dan frowned suspiciously. "What do you have on your phone?" Nick bit his lip nervously. "Have you ever noticed... that we filmed you?" Nick asked while kicking a rock, avoiding Dan's eyes. "Filmed me when...?" Dan crossed his arms.

"Like..." Nick ran his fingers through his hair, "when we were bullying you..." he looked at Dan from the corner of his eyes, scared of his reaction. Dan thought for a second. 

"Yeah, I have actually." he nodded. "I never really thought anything of it because I never saw any of it online." he shrugs.

"Yeah no we never posted any of it." Nick shook his head furiously. "But..." he looked down again. "I do still have some of the videos on my phone." He hesitated for a second but then handed Dan his phone.

Dan took the phone which was showing an album named "FaggotPranks". "Faggot Pranks? Really?" Dan raised his eyebrows. Nick shrugged embarrassed. "Spencer named it."

Dan rolled his eyes and clicked on the album. There were about 10 video's in it and just by glancing at them he remembered when each video was taken. For a moment he doubted if he should just delete all the video's, but might actually be a good way to get rid of not only Spencer, but all of the bullies.

Dan clicked on the most recent video, from about 2 months ago in the first week of this school year. The video shows Dan in front of the class being pushed against the board by Dennis while Spencer is taping his arms down with duct tape.  

Dan cringes at the memory. The teacher didn't show up at that lesson of sex ed and the guys spend the entire hour taping him stuck to the board and then taping condoms all over his body. The entire class then left him there only to be found by a class of freshmen and their teacher, who spend over ten minutes getting him loose and getting all the condoms off him.

Dan hears Nick laughing behind the camera as Bart walks up to Dan who is completely stuck at this point and writes "Queer" on his forehead. "I can't watch this." Dan mumbled and clicked the video away. "Here." he said while handing back Nick's phone.

"We don't have to show this to anyone if you don't want to, I can just delete them." Nick softly touches Dan's arm as comfort. Dan feels tears burning behind his eyes, but he doesn't want to cry because of a stupid video so he pushes it back.

"No it's a good idea." Dan shuffled around on his feet. "But you know you'll get in trouble as well right?" Dan looked up to see Nick staring at the phone in his hand. 

"Yeah I know..." he shakes his head. "But that doesn't matter."
