Dan
Pain and guilt quickly overtook all the pleasure Dan felt before as he held Phil as he cried. Confused he rubbed Phil's back with one hand and his cheek with his other hand. Phil had his eyes closed and was desperately trying to calm himself down, which hadn't worked out so far.
Tears were still rolling down his face and he was breathing like there was a two hundred pound rock pressing on his chest. He was holding his own hands and squeezing them so hard they had turned completely white.
"Phil, calm down, everything is gonna be alright." Dan tried to reassure him. "Everything's alright." He now put his hand in Phil's neck, pulling him against Dan's chest. He held him in a tight hug, rocking slightly back and forth.
After a few minutes Phil seemed to calm down, his breathing went back to normal and only soft sobs remained. Dan pulled away from the hug, lifting Phil's head up so he could look him in the eye.
Still confused Dan shook his head. "Talk to me Phil." He rubbed his thumb over the tear stained cheeks. "Did I do something wrong?" Phil still had his eyes closed and didn't respond. Dan got increasingly worried, knowing it was his fault Phil was feeling this way.
"I'm so sorry Phil, I shouldn't just assume that I can just do those things." Dan voice was soft and shaky. Phil now opened his eyes and shook his head. "You didn't do anything wrong..." he sounded rough from crying.
"Then what happened?" Dan almost pleaded. "I just..." Phil let out a small sob. "Sometimes things... just become to much..." Phil turned his head away.
"Like that time on the beach?" Dan asked. Phil nodded as he tried drying his cheeks with his hands. "Here..." Dan whispered as he put his sleeves over his hands and brushed over Phil's face. Phil was still looking away but lifted his chin to give Dan better access.
"I'm sorry if it felt like I was pushing or rushing you..." Dan said after drying Phil's cheeks. Phil shook his head again, "No you asked if it was okay, you did everything right..." he know looked Dan directly in the eyes. "It wasn't your fault... but..." he looked away again.
"But what?" Dan bit his lip anxiously. "But... can we just take it slow?" Phil peeked at Dan from the corner of his eyes. Dan let out a small nervous laugh, "Yes, of course Phil." he pulled Phil in a tight hug again, "We can do whatever you want, it's all up to you." He said while burying his face in Phil's neck.
Phil let out a relieved sigh and put his arms around Dan. "Sorry I hurt you." he mumbled. Dan grinned, "I don't care about that Phil, I care about you."
Phil
Phil was walking home, still feeling embarrassed and guilty. Who the hell bursts out in tears during a make out session?! Dan said he didn't care but Phil had a hard time believing him. He should care, it was fucking weird. Phil was fucking weird.
When he arrived at his house he saw an unknown car parked on their driveway. "Shit." he mumbled, he hated meeting his parents friends. They were usually stuck up snobs, rude and judgmental, just like his parents.
Reluctantly he opened the front door, immediately hearing laughter coming from the living room. Dragging his feet over the carpet he slouched over towards the voices.
"Phil!" His mom's face lit up when seeing him standing in the doorway. "Honey come in!" she waved him over. His dad was sitting next to and on the other couch another couple their age were sitting, he didn't recognize them. His mom stood up and grabbed his hand.
"This is mr and mrs Evans!" his mom said, gesturing at the couple. Phil awkwardly waved, "Hi." he mumbled. "Their son is also in his senior year." his mom said with excitement, like that was something Phil should get excited about.
"He is on the basketball team." Phil's dad said and Phil could hear the slight mocking in his voice. Yes dad, I know, I'm a disappointment. "Cool." Phil just said.
"Yeah maybe you know him." the lady now said, "His name is Spencer."
It felt like someone just punched Phil in his gut. His heart dropped and panic started to engulf him. What did he say to this? Was this actually happening?!
Everyone in the room was looking at Phil, waiting for a response, but Phil felt paralyzed. Suddenly he knees felt very shaky and his head dizzy.
"Do you know him sweetie?" his mom now asked. Respond Phil, say something, say anything. Phil nodded slightly, with still a blank stare at the woman. "Y-yeah... I know him..." he stammered.
"It so sad he's getting all this negative publicity right now." Phil's dad shook his head. "Let's hope it won't affect his chances of getting a scholarship !" he clasped his hands together.
"Indeed." Phil's mom now sat back down, "Very sad that a few lies like that could impact his life that much." she gave the couple a compassionate smile.
"Yes well he has been very mature about it." the man now said, "We're very proud of him." he nodded. Phil could feel the anger raise inside of him. He clenched his fists trying to contain himself.
"Yes we are." the woman now chimed in. "It's been very hard for him, dealing with all the rumors and the lies you know..."
This made Phil snap. "It's been hard for him?!" he blurted out, with a nervous laughter. "It's been hard for him?!!" he started to yell. He felt so incredibly angry, who were these people, raising a monster like Spencer.
"Honey?" his mom tried to grab his hand again, but he pulled away and stepped back. "How do you think the guy feels that he sexually assaulted?!" Phil screamed across the room, pointing at the couple who were looking extremely shocked.
"Phil!" his dad shot up into the air looking at him like he could explode at any second. "Leave. now." he said loud but very clear.
Phil threw his hands up in the air. "Gladly." he spat out before turning away and running up the stairs, still blinded by anger. With all the power in his arm he slammed his bedroom door shut behind him, but it didn't make the anger go away.
He felt like punching something, or rather, someone.
