Phil
"So then he took my phone away!" Dennis threw his hands in the air for dramatic effect. "That sucks man." Spencer shook his head. "When is he gonna give it back?" Dennis shrugged. "I dunno, but let me tell you something, mrs. Brown's classes are even more boring if you don't have your phone."
Phil laughed, "Yeah mrs. Brown sucks, plus her hair looks like a dead rat or something." The entire table laughed. This surprised Phil, he never had people laughing at his jokes. Honestly, he never had a group of people to tell jokes to. He enjoyed it honestly.
"Have you talked to Nick?" Bart asked Spencer after a while. He shook his head, "Nah mate, he's not interested in talking." Phil frowned, "What happened?" the three guys looked at each other awkwardly for a second. "Nothing." Spencer finally said, "Just a stupid argument."
"OH MY GAWD MIAAAA!!" Jessica screamed suddenly, getting up from her chair and jumping up and down with excitement. A girl also wearing a cheerleading outfit was walking towards her with a big smile. She had auburn hair up in a messy bun and stylish round glasses. Phil had to be honest here, she was beautiful.
She took Jessica in a tight embrace who was still screaming hysterically. When she pulled back she waved at everyone at the table. "Hi guys! Guess who's back!" when she smiled she had the exact same dimples Dan had when he smiled.
"Hi Mia! How was the wedding?" Bart asked. Mia rolled her eyes as she sat down next to Jessica. "Awful. It's bad enough we had to travel all the way to Canada but who the hell has a week long wedding?!" she sighed.
"People with too much money." Phil grinned. She looked at him with a curious smile and raised an eyebrow. "Ah Mia, this is Phil!" Spencer said as he pointed to him. "He'll be hanging out with us more often." Spencer gave Phil a smirk, "Right Phil?"
Phil was still staring at Mia and nodded. "Right." he said softly. Mia giggled. For a second it was silent at the table, until Jessica asked Mia to tell stories of her trip. The rest of lunch break consisted of Mia talking about her trip to Canada and the entire table was listening closely.
She talked really fast but Phil didn't care. He wasn't really listening, he was just watching her face. And in those minutes, as he was watching her, he forgot about Dan.

"So you like Mia?" Spencer asked as they walked out of their last class of the day. The entire day Phil joined the group, sitting with them during every period. And he had to be honest, he was having a good time. The guys were actually really funny, and it was nice to just hang out with people in stead of just being alone.
Phil blushed at Spencer's question. "Dunno." he shrugged. Spencer laughed and gave him a playful shove with his shoulder. "Come on dude, nothing to be ashamed of. Mia is a really cool girl."
Phil shrugged again. "I doubt she'd be into me..." Spencer raised his eyebrows. "Why would you say that?" Phil gave Spencer a look. "Are you kidding? I'm not really a typical hot guy." he gestured at himself.
Spencer laughed. "Okay so maybe you don't look like a jock or something, but Mia doesn't like jocks." Spencer shrugged, "Why do you think she's still single?"
Phil bit his lip hesitantly. "You really think I'd have a shot?" Spencer laughed again. "Yeah dude, with a haircut and maybe a wardrobe change she'll be all over you." he nodded self assured. "We can take the boys and go shopping right now if you want?"
Phil raised his eyebrows. "You'd really do that?" Before Spencer could answer Bart and Dennis came around the corner joining them. "What's up guys?" Dennis nodded at them.
"We're talking Phil into town for a make-over." Spencer grinned. "Ah for Mia?" Bart winked. Phil rolled his eyes. "No..." he hummed. "Yeaahhh Lester already found himself girl." Dennis grinned.
"Alright, let's go then." Spencer pointed towards the door and before Phil could object they were already on their way. Phil had no idea what was going on. Suddenly he had this group of friends taking him into town, giving him tips on how to flirt with girl, joking and laughing with him.
It helped take his mind off of Dan but when it didn't all he could think of was how much he wanted to share this with him. He loved having friends like this but he still wanted Dan. But he just had to get it in his mind, Dan didn't want to be with him, He didn't mean anything to Dan. He deserved to have friends like this and it wasn't his fault that Dan was alone now.
