The little cute bell that Hunk had installed to the door rang loudly. A familiar short girl with round glasses and short brown hair waltzed in with a green binder in her hands.
"Hey, Pidge!" Hunk brightly smiled, looking at the girl as she walked in.

"Hi Hunk. Still trying to perfect Lotor's birthday cupcakes?" She slouched, leaning of the counter. He nodded, a wave of frustration washing over him. "I've been trying for the past week, and Allura still thinks they need more decorating." Hunk sighed, taking out a peanut butter cookie and wrapping it a paper bag.

"I can come help out of Friday, if you want. I'm sure Lance would love to help, also." She offered, taking the cookie from him.
"Thanks, I would need the help." He shrugged.
"I can't believe Lance is late, again." Pidge shook her head.

"He and Romelle went to music classes together." Hunk prepared the blueberry bubble tea that Lance always begs for. "Who's Romelle?" Pidge set her binder down on the counter beside her. It seemed that Lance was later and later everyday.

"Romelle, age is seventeen, blonde hair, very beautiful." Matt smiled, setting two empty glasses down into the kitchen sink that was in the far back of the café. "He picked up another girl? This is unbelievable. Didn't he and Nyma just break up?" Pidge hung her head disappointingly.

"That's his way of coping with the break up, Katie." Matt said, and slid a blueberry muffin into the oven-microwave thing that they used to heat up pastries. "I just wish that he would understand what the term 'bisexual' means. There are plenty of cute guys, like you, Hunk, Lotor, Shiro." Pidge sighed and pursed her lips.

"That would be weird if he dated us, Pidge.
You want green apple again, right?" Hunk placed Lance's drink on top of the microwave, being there wasn't any space for it on the messy counter. She nodded, watching the fascinating process of how the bubble tea is made.

The little bell rang, and Lance smiled at instant of seeing his bubble tea waiting for him.
"Hey guys!" Lance announced loudly, and Pidge waved. "Hey, How was class?" Pidge sassily put her hand on her hip.

"How'd you know I'm taking music classes?" He blinked, and Hunk stifled a cute giggle.
"Hunk! I told you specifically not to tell Pidge." Lance pouted. "I'm sorry, man! Pidge was going to find out one way or another." He shrugged, handing the bubble tea to him.
Hunk smiled, seeing another customer come in. "Guys, take a seat. I don't want to loose customers because my best friends are too argumentative." Hunk pointed to a high table.

Pidge slurped her bubble tea loudly, looking at Lance with a patient expression. "Are you going to tell me?" Pidge set her drink down, Lance guiltily shoved his away. "Nyma has a new boyfriend." He grunted shortly, staring out of the window. Pidge rolled her hazel eyes, huffing. "What's so good about this Nyma chick?" Pidge scooted his tea back to him, implying for him to actually drink it.

"Everything is good about every chick, Pidge." Lance rubbed the knot in his shoulder, that had been aching him for days. "Maybe you should look into guys.." Pidge suggested politely.
"I would, you know I would. But," Lance stopped to think. "But my abuela, you know how she is. She'll support me one-hundred percent, but I can't help but think that she feels otherwise." He ran his hands through his hair.

"Mm." Pidge hummed and nodded. "You wanna spilt half?" Pidge slid the giant peanut butter cookie out of the bagged wraps. "Sure." He agreed to it, being he hadn't ate lunch.
"How about you tell us more about this Romelle girl." Matt smiled, stealing a piece of the cookie. "She's a friend." Lance shrugged.

Matt's eyes grew big. "What? She's really cool, and you're just her friend?" He leaned forward.
"Yeah, kind of. We're more like acquaintances." Lance chuckled. Matt's eyes grew bigger.
"You don't even know her?" He dramatically slammed his hands on the table. "No, Matt. That's the point of acquaintances. They're not your best friends, but they aren't your friends either-" Pidge was interrupted by her brother.

"I know what they are," Matt plainly looked at her. "Anyways Lance, call me. I need to get back to work, or else Hunk won't give me my my 'taste test' cupcake again." He saluted, picking up a nearby tray. "We should get going too, I need to finish my summer report." Pidge hopped off the high chair, so did Lance. They took their tea with them, of course.

"Hunk, you mind meeting us around eight, at my house? I need you to proofread my report on the Great Gatsby." Pidge leaned over the counter, shouting into the kitchen.
"Yeah, I'll be there!" There was a faint response.

Lance and Pidge exited the café to see a nice sunset upon them. "We really need to go back to school shopping." Lance looked at Pidge's ragged book bag which was plain black. It had little smudges of dirt, and traces of plants that stayed there for too long. "Especially book-bag shopping." Lance pursed his lips, which turned into a grin. "Stop making fun of my bag." Pidge scowled, turning her bag the other way. "I'm not!" Lance giggled, shifting her back to her regular position.

They walked all the way up the long street slowly, and by six-thirty-ish they reached Pidge's house. Pidge attempted to throw her bag on to the dining table, failing badly.
"See, this is why the bag looks the way it does." Lance mumbled to himself, picking her plain bag and resting it on an empty chair.

Hunk rang the doorbell earlier than expected, and Pidge sprinted for the door. "Hey, Mom- Hunk?" Pidge smiled, surprised. "I was too eager to wait. I closed up shop early. I need to tell you and Lance something very important, and I wanted to tell you when you came in...but Matt was there." Hunk swiftly rambled while he sauntered into the house.

"What is it?" Pidge asked, taking his floral, yellow bag off of him. "We need to apply for Arbor college." Hunk rested his hands on his hips. Lance came out of the bathroom, with a confused look on his face. "I thought I heard voices, but I figured it was just Pidge talking to herself again." He smiled.

"We need to apply for Arbor this early?" Pidge three herself face-down on to the couch.
"Yes, we do. The spaces are filling up, and they only accept 150 students a year." Hunk scrolled down on his phone, showing Lance their website. "It's fine, we'll just apply online. Plus, we have one more year of high school. We have enough to worry about." Lance's eye lids drooped heavily.

"Yeah, Lance. But this is Arbor, Arbor of the town Altea! The one Pidge's dad went to, the one were Allura's father taught and learned!" Hunk's eyes glistened with happiness and amazement. "Lance," Pidge lifted her face from the couch, both to breathe and talk.
"Hunk's got a point. We've dreamed of going to Arbor since the 2nd grade. All of us!" Pidge beamed with hope.

"I guess you guys are right." He reasoned, leaning on the wall. "Fine, we can apply sooner than later." Lance gave in, and Pidge's and Hunk's eyes sparkled with joy. "Oh, thanks Lance!" Hunk engulfed the lanky shaped boy with a giant teddy bear hug.

"N-No problem.." He giggled softly. "Wait, we have one problem." Pidge put her finger up in the air. "What?" The joy died down at one mention of a problem. "We need to talk to our parents about buying dorms." Pidge sighed, hanging her head low.

Hunk bit his lip, letting go of Lance. "Listen, Pidge. Mr.Holt is going to let you buy a dorm, and we can all put our money together. If he has a problem with Matt, so be it. You aren't Matt! You're Pidge. Our Pidge!" Hunk smiled encouragingly. "He's totally right, Pidgeon!" Lance agreed. Pidge nibbled on her bottom lip. "Thanks guys." She tilted her head. That was nice of Hunk to say. Well, Hunk is always nice.
