Yes, Pidge is only 16 while the boys are all 18-19. She skipped two grades, first and second, and that's how she ended up in senior year at her age. Just wanted to clarify! Enjoy!
Pidge hadn't slept, which was unhealthy.
Doctors had asked her a variety of questions,
like what was her age, why was she there,
who exactly was she there for, and if she was okay.Pidge could answer them all truthfully:
She was 16 years old, she was there because of a friend, Hunk Garret, and no. She wasn't okay.Doctors usually stared after her remark, though she only smiled at them, which was kind of creepy. Matt and Rachel showed up, Rachel forging into tears the minute she stepped in the building. This made Pidge's eyes brim with salty tears, though she didn't cry. Matt told her it was time to go, and she would pick up Lance to stay with Rachel while her and Keith did what teenagers did. Pidge wasn't obtuse, she understood that she had to leave.
Though, her and Rachel tried to dawdle and stall Matt, it didn't work. Gallivanting on, the Holt siblings' heart swelled as they left.
Rachel earned a quick kiss from her boyfriend, making Pidge squirm in a somewhat weird way. It was like a gender-bent version of her and Lance, which made her uncomfortable.
Pidge denigrated severely, Matt rushed her.Keith and Lance sat in silence, a few short conversations here and there. Keith was appearing to be in an austere mood, subtly distressed. Until he felt somewhat guilty for shutting Lance and out and somewhat criticizing his childish personality. It was Lance. That's who he was, and from day one, at Lotor's party, he could infer just that.
"Lance," Keith said with a sense of contrition.
Lance hummed, not even sparing a glance.
"Sorry for calling you uh—juvenile yesterday."
Keith was incredulous that he actually made an effort to repair a friendship, or relationship,
because it wasn't something he did often.
Lance hummed with a questionable manor.
"You're apologizing? What about me? I'm sorry for being selfish," Lance was stunned at the apology, it wasn't often he got one from anyone, in fact. "You're not selfish.""Are you saying that because you feel like you have to, or do you genuinely feel that way?"
Lance earnestly asked. Keith exhaled sharply, walking over to Lance. "I'm being honest,"
Keith assured. To reassure, he leaned closer to kiss him. Just as he was about to, Pidge rang the doorbell numerous amounts of times.
They sighed as their foreheads touched, Lance figured he would get it, and he snuck a short kiss to Keith anyway. It lasted about five seconds, then he sprang up, proceeding to open the front door.Pidge ran forward, gripping on to Lance's jacket immediately. He gazed at the top of her head steadily, smiling lightly. Matt patted his back, telling him they should go soon and not wait too long. Matt wasn't very fond of the idea of Rachel being left alone, Lance agreed. Pidge threw herself onto Keith, thankfully he caught her. Lance and Matt said their goodbyes, waving. Pidge and Keith dazed at each other's expressions. "Coffee?" She suggested.
Keith smiled, finding comfort in her positive attitude. "Coffee." He beamed.
...
While walking to the local confectionary and café, that belonged to Hunk, Pidge and Keith noticed assortments of quirks. People passed by, unusually walking in the opposite direction of the café, which was strange. There were a bunch of signs that signaled the street the café was on was closed.
Pidge, being co-manger, rushed forward.
She frowned exasperatedly. A flyer was stuck onto the window and a sign was hung up by the door. Under renovation it read. "Under renovation my ass," she murmured, gripping it off and crumbling it. She gave the sign to Keith, who dropped it on the concrete."They think because people haven't come in to work, besides Matt and Rachel, the café is under renovation. Shitheads," she spat, annoyed. "Yeah, I've noticed." Keith smartly responded. "Shut up," She ordered, brushing behind the counter to make two cups of coffee. One sugared, one unsweetened to the max.
You could figure out which one is which.Pidge brewed the coffee, she came to the front as she waited. "I miss Hunk." She claimed truly. Keith chuckled, brushing his long bangs out of his eyes. Now seeing clearer, he stared at her with his violet eyes. "It's evident that we all miss him, Pidge. We should be thankful that he isn't in a coma." Keith said while taking a seat.
She gasped dramatically. "How do you know that?! What if Hunk's in a coma!" She jumped up, making a whimpering sound after. Keith rolled his eyes at her exaggerated reply. "The doctors would've told us." He shook his head.
"You don't know that!" She huffed, walking back into the kitchen stubbornly."Yes I do." He argued, mainly for his own entertainment. Arguing with a gremlin was hilarious. It wasn't like he was going to go on for long, Pidge would find a way to disprove her dear friend. Pidge would see that Keith was only being nettlesome, she tried to ignore.
"You have no clue, Kogane!" She yelled from the kitchen. "No, Pidge, you have it all wrong. You have no clue." Keith said in a calmer tone."You better shut your mouth before I poison your coffee!" She threatened. Keith's eyebrows raised at an extremely high level. He took it into consideration, and he kept his mouth shut for the rest of the time Pidge was in that kitchen.
