Keith kept silent in the back seat as Matt and Rachel praised him for being such a great friend. "Hunk'll be so proud." Rachel smiled, looking in the rear-view mirror. Keith only smiled, being modest and humble. He didn't like compliments, but he couldn't really do anything about it now.

"Allura took Lance and Pidge to Colleen's house. She'll pick them up tomorrow. It's you and Hunk tonight, just sayin." Matt tapped his foot. "Don't go cheating on my brother."
Rachel smirked, turning around, she was only teasing. "Rachel!" Matt stifled a laugh.
Keith turned red quickly, and he hid his face in his hands. "What?! Hunk's nice boy!" Rachel defended, nudging her boyfriend's arm as they giggled. "And he's dating Pidge, my best friend, my sister!" Keith screeched.

((True story, this happened to me))

"Okay, okay. We'll stop, you'll probably die of a stroke if we don't." Matt implied.
Keith coughed softly, sighing. They pulled up to Pidge's house, where Hunk stayed.
Keith jumped out the car , rushing toward the door. He spammed the doorbell, and Hunk swung it open with no hesitation.

"Keith, you dumbass!" Hunk lectured as he engulfed the boy in a big-teddy-bear hug.
"I'm not a dumbass for saving your dumbass!"
Keith mumbled, smiling gently.

"You see what I was talking about?"

Keith turned back to glare at her, but he was too happy to see his friend. Instead, he smiled.
Why, exactly? Keith didn't know.

...

The next day

"Lance, wake up!" Pidge whispered. Her eyes flashed with black dots, that's how bad her hangover was. "What?" The boy groaned, turning around. "What the hell happened?! Why are we at Romelle's house?" Pidge tried to remember what the hell even happened, but she failed. Lance blinked, getting a chance to open his eyes. "Uh.." his memory flashed to the top of a staircase.

He was watching Keith be taken away, but the boy was oddly calm. Hunk was hiding behind the door, obviously scared. Pidge whimpered  in pain next to him, and that's the last thing he could remember. His face turned from tired and relax to an expression of utter horror.
"Keith's in a mental institution!" Lance gasped, slapping a hand over his mouth.

"What the actual hell?" Pidge squinted.
"Well, not necessarily. But, he was being taken away somewhere." Lance grappled her hoodie that she wore yesterday. "Where?!" He pleaded to know. "I don't know, Lance! You're the one with memory, remember!" Pidge rolled her eyes, gripping his shoulders.

"Umm.."

"Well?"

"PRISON!" Lance's mouth was left open from the statement he'd convinced himself was the correct answer. "Why would he be going to jail?" Pidge tilted her head. "Due to your pounding headaches, I can infer that you probably got caught for underage alcohol consumption." Allura stated from behind them.

"Eh, hi?" Lance waved, chuckling awkwardly.
"Hello, Lance, Pidge. I've brought you to Colleen's house." Allura lies as she winked.
"Really? Why does it look like Romelle's—"
"Lance. Colleen's house was too far away. It was originally were I was instructed to bring you there, but I needed to get to Keith. So, I brought you guys here instead." Allura smiled.

"Oh." Pidge and Lance glanced at each other.
"Thanks." Pidge smiled widely, kicking off from the bed. "It's amazing. You're in a better mood when you're hungover than normally." Allura giggled, and Pidge shrugged. "I guess you could call it an afterward buzz." She wriggled her brows. Lance called for them to wait up, but they barley listened. It wasn't like they would leave without him.

...
At Pidge's house

"Keith, eat your breakfast." Hunk begged for the millionth time that morning. At least he'd got some sort of sleep, unlike Keith, who couldn't sleep at all. Lance and Pidge were on his mind all damn night. "I'm sorry, Hunk. You know I love your food." Keith apologized, shoving a piece of a pancake in his mouth.

"You're just groggy from insomnia." Hunk shrugged, sipping his iced tea. "It's fine." Hunk laughed, though it was short lived. "I have to tell Shiro about it, I'll call him later." Keith reminded himself, which was unusual, but again, the insomnia was getting to him.

The doorbell rang, and Keith's face brightened. Hunk's expression softened at his friend's relief. He got up to get it, but Keith was already sprinting to the door. "Lance!" Keith bombarded. "Woah—hey!" Lance laughed, looking at Pidge, who only wore a shit eating grin. "I thought you went to prison." Lance smiled, ruffling Keith's messy hair.

"I did, just for you guys!" Keith huffed.
Pidge rolled her eyes, stepping in.
She waved to Allura, who'd dropped them off.
"Nobody told you to, Hunk could've went."
She said, approaching her boyfriend.
"But—we wouldn't want that." Pidge chuckled, placing a peck on Hunk's cheek. She also stole some of Keith's pancake.

Keith didn't want to let go of Lance, but outside was cold, and they weren't willing to get sick.
"Let's have breakfast together and talk about last night, yeah?" Lance smiled softly at Hunk, who'd gotten up to hug him.

"Yeah, that'll be nice."
