I ought to make an aesthetic chapter, like the beginning days :)
Hunk was finally back on his feet, his big brother Julián had to help him with some tasks. He and Pidge would take the bus to and from school back to home or the café.
Lance was now an official coworker alongside Matt. The café wasn't that busy these days, that tended to happen around November and December. Everybody would go to Starbucks instead of the café because of seasonal drinks.
The little bell that Hunk had installed two months ago rang loudly through the shop.
Lance beamed in a friend-like way, waving Hunk and Julián over."Hey, Lance! How have you been?" Julián tenderly smiled as his little brother took a seat. Lance nodded, taking a sip of his not-so-great bubble tea that he made himself. "I'm good. How about you? And is Hunk feeling better?"
Lance said like a normal human would, knowing that he wouldn't respond like that is Pidge or Hunk asked him."I'm good. It's hard to handle a school and Hunk. But I would choose him over any day.
He's doing well, he just missed this old place."
Julián chuckled along with the boy across him.
"I would miss it, too. Have you seen Matt in a while? The guy's been missing work, I might have to call Keith up to help. That would be a disaster." Lance shuddered."Unfortunately, no. I heard those girls across the street, you know, the ones who despise Rachel. I think their names are Jasmine and Nyma? Yeah, they whispered about Matt moving back to where his mom is going."
Julián replied. Lance's eyebrows quirked."Wait. Then he'd be leaving Rachel." Lance mumbled to himself, sighing and putting his hand on his hip. "Oh, okay." Lance awkwardly stood there, debating on what to say next.
"I'm going to see if Hunk wants anything. I'm leaving in five, I'm counting on you to bring him home." Julián acquainted....
Once Julián left, which was way past five minutes, Pidge arrived with a green binder in her hands. The bell rang as Lance turned to see who entered. "Hey." She simply greeted.
"Hi. Kiwi?" Lance held up his drink, the girl plainly nodding. "Hunk! How've you been?" Hunk smiled up at her, blushing slightly.
"I'm fine. Are you okay? I haven't seen you in a while." Since the first week of October actually."I'm good. When are you coming back to school?" Pidge sat across from her 'friend'.
"Probably tomorrow."...
Flash back to August 1st:
"Hello? Yes, is this Veronica McClain?"
Veronica gulped. "Yes, it is."
"Congratulations! You got into Halle Creational Arts Academy!" The lady congratulating the new member of this academy.
"Oh, thank you." Unlike other schools, HCAA calls the members of the school instead of sending a letter or text message.
Three ordered knocks were heard at the black walled room door. "Come in." Veronica annoyedly answered.
"Hey Ronnie." Gabriel, Rachel's ex boyfriend, but at the time he was currently dating her, smiled. "Oh. Hi." She shrugged, incoherently speaking. "Oddly enough, I got into HCAA. How about you?" Gabriel spitefully asked.
Veronica steamily sighed. "Gosh, Gabriel. I don't know, is it any of your business anyway?"
Gabriel rolled his eyes subtly. "It's simple question. If you aren't capable of answering it you shouldn't go to HCAA in the first place." One eyebrow quirked, and the other twitched."Would you shut your damn mouth? Your irrelevant words are unnecessary. You're wasting oxygen." Gabriel was a major killjoy for Veronica. Twenty four seven was: Veronica this, Veronica that.
"You're wasting space."
"You're life is a waste of time. Get the hell out of my bedroom." Veronica pushed.
"Such a nagger." Veronica day down on her bed, rolling her brown eyes.
Her phone started to ring again, and with a grunt, she picked up. "What?" She frustratedly answered. "Woah, McClain. Easy. I'm just calling to ask you got into that academy." Her friend, Nadia asked. Veronica sighed.
"Yeah, Yeah. I did. Thanks for checking on me." Veronica fondly said.
"No problem."
...
Present Day:
Matt stared out his window. Rachel looked over, admiring his fondly placed expression.
"Matt, aren't you going to say bye to your mom. She won't come back for now, you know."
Rachel encouraged. Matt anxiously turned back. "I should leave here, too. I'll come back in two weeks. I-I promise." Matt suddenly wished. Rachel's book closed, her expression flattening."You're leaving Altea? And me? And—and school? And you tell me now, when you're about to g-go?" Rachel almost questioned herself. "Why?" She asked desperately.
Her heart pounded in her ears. Was somebody leaving her again? For what reason. . .?
"I ran away to a dorm room a year ago. My mother left me. I need to be with her. I need to find out why she left. Please, Rachel. I'll come back. Give me a week or two." Matt gulped in a manner of guilt.Rachel stood to her feet, launching her feet intertwined over Matt's waist. "God, please come back! I can't survive alone. . ." She whispered in his left ear. Her arms around his neck, the boy brushed her lips with his.
"I will. I promise you and our little girl."
Matt smiled, being squeezed once again."I love you, Matt."
"I love you, too, Rachel."
Aww how cute :) the first 'i love you's' of The book! I've been thinking, and I think I should end this book at chapter 40.
Of course, I will have a part two out.
Love you all. Kisses, Rena <3
