the queen has arrived. all bow down.

Veronica sited for a good explanation, yet to find one. "Out of the blue, Gabriel calls to threaten you?" She exasperatedly sighed.
"No, it's not that sudden, Ronnie. He's been calling." The corners of Rachel's lips creased.

"He's been threatening you? And you haven't told me?" Veronica turned her head to the side, squinting. "I told Lance a little bit about it."
Pidge and Hunk stood silently in the background as the two sisters argued.
"What's Lance going to do? Our little brother can barely stand up after getting pushed."
Veronica defensively crossed her arms around her chest.

"Veronica!"

"Rachel!" Veronica's eyes widened, shaking her head slightly. "Take this seriously." Rachel strictly laid. "I am! You telling Lance is the most hilarious thing ever, but that's beside the point." Veronica slickly rolled her eyes.

"Shush!" Rachel snapped. Veronica didn't jump, though Hunk and Pidge did.
"Sorry. Now, Gabriel has been calling me, yes. Matt's not here anymore. God forbid that something happens, Pidge I need you to call Matt." Veronica interrupted with a scoff.

"Please. As if Gabriel could do shit. You're getting scared for no absolute reason, sister."
Veronica remarked smartly.

"Veronica, if that's your opinion of Gabriel, then keep it to your damn self. Nobody needs you rambling on about how much you despise him." Rachel lectured. "Hm." Veronica hummed, much annoyed.

"Yeah, I'll call Matt if anything happens."
Pidge ignored the irrelevant conversation.
"Thanks, that's all though. Stay safe, you never know. He could be stalking or whatever."
Rachel cautioned. Hunk and Pidge both smiled and nodded, heading out.

Behind closed doors, the McClains were very unhealthy. Veronica was stuck with looking after nieces and nephews as Rachel and Lance, the beloved twins, got to trolly around.

"God Veronica. You are so ignorant." Rachel was clearly pissed. And Veronica was certainly aggressive and aggravated. That's one thing that you never wanted was an angry Veronica McClain.

...

Lance sat there, waiting for somebody to show up. Sunday's were the freaking worst.
Nobody came in, the food was stale, Lance worked alone.

Lance stared down at his phone, glancing out the window every so often. A chime from the bell could be heard. "Hey, you." Keith yelled to the kitchen. "Yes, sir?" Lance tried to show no emotion, but he couldn't be happier that Keith came to visit him. "I thought I should come by to see your mind disintegrate." said Keith, who smiled.

"Mm, you wanna hang around for the rest of the day? Maybe I could go home early and maybe uh—maybe we could do something together." Lance awkwardly said in a taut voice. Keith's face scrunched up.
"Uh, okay? Don't we do—like a majority of things together?" Keith questioned, but eventually brushed it off.

"I wanted to know if you were up for Halloween costume shopping." Lance said in a soft voice. "Oh! Yeah, sure. I like Halloween. I prefer Halloween over my own birthday."
Keith rambled only to a shrug.

"Your birthday?" Lance's eyebrows did that thing that Keith loved. That one quirked brow up and the other down low. "Heh, yeah. October 23rd, actually." Keith smiled weakly.
One thing Keith hated was his birthday.
The only thing Keith hated, besides Lotor's grape juice face, was his birthday.

"Oh, you're an autumn baby. Of course, I'd expect somebody with a personality of yours to be winter or fall." Lance implied, his face fell in realization, then lit back up again.
"I need to get you something! What do you want?" From now on, Lance was going to pry open Keith about his birthday wishes.

"Let's just go shopping." Keith retorted, and Lance happily obliged. They closed up shop together, and walked contentedly.

"Uh, so what do you plan on being for Halloween?" Keith asked.
"Dunno, maybe a thief?" Lance gleed.
"A thief? That's ridiculous." Keith scoffed.
"Ridiculously hot." Lance winked, snapping his fingers into a form of guns. Keith couldn't help but laugh.

This guy. This one.

Out of all guys, it had to be this one.

Lance had to be the one Keith had feelings for.

...

Rachel clutched her knitted sweater, sniffling on the ground. "Deep breaths. Deep breaths." She repeated to herself. What had she ever done to Veronica? To make her so. . . aggravated, ignorant, stubborn?

To be completely honest, Rachel's life came crashing down.

Matt left. Why? His mother.
Gabriel left. Why? He was a fucking prick.

Her baby needed a father. Needed.
Rachel couldn't do this by herself.

That's still not a reason why Veronica was going to take him down. Veronica had her reasons. Veronica was a girl who had intelligence and stronghold. On the other hand, Gabriel was a nuisance.

The girl grabbed her coat, slugged it on, and she was out the door. No, she didn't know where the hell she was heading. No, she didn't know what to do if she found Gabriel. No, she didn't know what to do if she didn't find Gabriel. But you know what?

That didn't stop Veronica at all.

...

Hey. I have so many things going on right now, sorry if I'm late on updates.
I have to do a speech for student council, then another one for JFK. Oh wow.
Anyways! I still love you all, and haven't forgotten about any one of you.

Love, Rena <3
