Keith hugged his books against his chest as he roamed the halls alone. Hunk went home early, at around one-forty-five-ish due to a sick stomach. He left his phone at school accidentally, that's the reason Pidge was calling. The loudspeaker chimed on, the crackling static implying that the principal was about to speak.

"Would Keith Kogane report to the office, Keith Kogane to the office." Principal Alfor spoke. Keith rolled his eyes, turning around, heading to the office. Lance popped up from somewhere in the cracks of the halls. "What are you going to the office for?" He asked, as if he cared.

"I dunno," Keith shrugged. The awkward tension was starting to annoy the two. Ever since they rode back to school with Matt and Rachel, they did say one word to one another, until now of course. Lance's jaw clenched in a temperamental manner. "What's wrong, Keith?" Lance snapped. Keith jumped at his tone, being he never heard it before.
"W-What?" Keith stared at him.

"You're obviously upset with me! Why? What could I have possibly done?" Lance sounded automatically hopeless, as if the world was ending. Lance was 'fine' yesterday. What happened in a matter of less than twenty four hours? "Nothing. I'm not upset you, Lance. I'm just having a bad day." Keith sniffled from his recent cold.

Lance blinked and swallowed. He realized that he may of been too harsh on Keith.
"I'm sorry. I just don't like this. This awkward or tense setting. It's not—it isn't a good one to be in." Lance apologized. "It's Whatever." Keith walked to the office, the secretary telling him that he was going home. Apparently, Hunk needed him over. "Why wouldn't Hunk call me over?" Lance muttered to himself, through Keith still heard. He didn't answer.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye." Lance smiled.
Keith nodded. Lance held his arms out for a hug, and Keith only softly smiled back.
"Bye Lance," He rushed down the stairs with his books still in his hands.

...

Hunk was coughing up a storm, he had more than a virus. "Pidge—you need to go. I don't want you to get sick!" Hunk begged, but Pidge just hushed him. "Shut you mouth! You really think I'd leave you like this?" Pidge wrapped him up in blankets, trying to make him sweat his fever out.

"Then leave when Keith gets here. Is he bringing Lance with him?" Hunk sniffled, pulling the blanket over his shoulder.
"No, Lance is catching up with his classes that he missed." Pidge and Hunk were officially Keith's friends. One of Keith's closest friends, to be exact. He told Pidge about his little 'crush' on Lance about two days ago. Hunk knew very little about the subject, but at least he did know.

The door bell rang as Hunk sipped his hot cocoa that he taught Pidge to make.
They were freshmen in high school, and Lance had no interest in learning how to make hot cocoa, since he never drank it anyways.
Pidge swung the door open, flashing a smile at her friend. "Hey, am I too late? I'm sorry, I practically ran out of school." Keith set his bag down, rushing to Hunk's aid.

"Are you okay? How high is your fever, and why are you drinking hot cocoa?! Pidge, what type of doctor are you?" Keith bombarded with questions, feeling his forehead. "One, he's fine. Just the stomach virus, or maybe influenza. He's drinking hot cocoa because he wants to. And I'm a perfectly excellent doctor, I have you know." The small girl brushed her bangs out of her face.

"How's things with you and Lance?" Pidge took Hunk's empty cup to the kitchen. "You and — ACHOO!— Lance?" Hunk sniffled, struggling to keep his voice. "We're fine. I guess we are."
Keith's voice faded as he rushed upstairs to get the cough and cold medicine, you know, the one that tastes horrible. "Why do you say that? I know you're lying!" Pidge laughed, snuggling up next to her ill friend.

"I am not lying. Now please, let me take care of Hunk." Keith falsely smiled at her, and brushed past the girl. "Hunk, you were fine at lunch. What happened?" Keith shook the medicine bottle, the liquid inside shaking up and bubbling. "It was the cold weather, he stared at the window, the rain was coming in through the window, hence the sick boy. I'm sitting in his seat when he returns to school. That stupid biology teacher put Hunk by the window and it got him sick! This is such a shit situation." Pidge rambled on and on as Hunk squirmed at the disgusting tasting medicine.

"EW! Why does that so gross?! Why can't they make the medicine better tasting?" Hunk whined, leaning on Pidge's shoulder.
Pidge, Hunk, and Keith's all pinged.

It felt nice to just laugh, even though Hunk was sneezing through his laughter.
