⚠️ Oof angst warning ⚠️
And by the way, I'm not a doctor.
Sorry if I'm wrong about anything, please let me know :)Lance finally told Keith and the others that he joined student council officially. They weren't mad, nor they were ecstatic. That was the reaction that Lance expected anyways.
Allura rolled her eyes at Lance when presenting his new idea for the club.
"How is that going to help?" She asked, picking her nails. "Allura," Lotor started.
"It helps by submitting trust funds for the school." Lance spat. "Did Pidge make that up for you?" Allura crossed her arms.
"Cut the crap, would you?" Lance raised the tone of his irritated voice.Allura gave no response, just continuing to scowl. She was the queen of salt shakers, truly.
"Uh—we're out of time." Lotor cleared his throat, tapping his invisible watch. Lance sucked his lips inward, nodding. Other representatives and club members chatted,
Lance only left. He was on his way to visit Hunk. Keith waited at the door for him, only out of manners, though. Don't get any ideas and say that Keith still liked Lance.Lance was visibly frustrated, angry, malicious, tired, and the list goes on and on. "You okay?" The question everybody had been asking lately.
'Are you okay?' 'Are you Alright?' 'Okay?'
Different variations of the same question.
Why bother to ask when the answer is clear?
"No, Keith. I'm not." Lance sounded off the alarm on the front doors of the school.
"Hey, I know you and Allura aren't on the best of terms right now, but Lance. Seriously—"
Lance interrupted his friend's sentence with an abrupt laugh."We're more than not on 'good terms'. If somebody trashed you for themself not returning any sort of feelings, that's more than not on good terms." Lance wasn't trying to be cocky, but it came off that way. Keith said nothing at all, only walked beside his friend.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be bringing any of my friends into this." Lance exhaled sharply. His stance was sluggish and lazy, the boy was extremely tired. "Why don't you just drop out of student council?"
Keith's voice echoed through Lance's ears.
That didn't sound like a bad idea at all."That's the thing. I can't. Once you join student council, you can't leave until the next year."
Lance frowned softly. "That's what you get for being too impulsive." Keith chuckled.
"Hey! I am not impulsive!" Lance screeched, nudging the laughing boy beside him.
Lance was wrong. That was the moment he realized that he was in fault. Keith enjoyed his company, he didn't hate it, as Lance had speculated. The walk was fun, though it was complicated.
Keith was still debating. Not about Lance, that is. About whether he should stay home with Hunk so Pidge could catch up with her classes, or maybe just go to school and stay with Hunk after school. It was a week already, and Hunk was still sick. His condition was getting worse.
Keith, Pidge, and Lance personally kept a chart of the sickness.Originally it was only a fever. Then, vomiting plus a fever. Then, he was barely speaking or moving. Finally, Hunk stopped eating.
What the hell was wrong?Matt, Rachel, Lance, Keith, and Pidge all tried to take care of him day by day. Each day, he got worse. They all felt miserable for him, imagine how Hunk felt. Lance decided to ring Pidge's cell, telling her to open the door. The approached the gravel walkway to Hunk's house. Keith and Lance exchanged looks, now a bit worried. Lance turned the knob to opened door.
The house was a complete mess.
The newspapers were on the floor, the bathroom door was wide open, and the sofa was covered in multiple blankets.
"What the hell?" Keith mumbled. His first instinct was to walk upstairs. Walking up the steps, Keith heard a sudden call from Lance down below. Turning around to rush down the stairs, Keith's heart lurched and ached.Pidge was bawling very real tears, most likely having an anxiety attack. "Pidge! Where's Hunk?" Keith frantically rushed to aid.
"I—he. . ." Pidge wasn't breathing through her nose, but only deeply inhaling through her mouth. "He's u—upstairs! I—I had my phone down here—and I—Hunk fainted! And I couldn't understand why—what was even happening! His eyes rolled into the back of his head. . . he—he wasn't breathing properly!" Lance and Keith's expressions flattened, shocked at what their friend was claiming."He—Hunk needs help! I—I tried to call you— why didn't you answer?!" Pidge sobbed into Lance's shoulder, crying like there was no tomorrow. "oh my god, oh my god." Pidge repeated the muttered words under her breath.
Keith reversed back to when he was advancing up the stairs, and he spirited like flames were consuming him."HUNK!" Keith shouted, he was pretty sure Lance could've heard. Hunk was laying there, his eyes were sealed shut, and Keith knew something wasn't right. Hunk was dying.
"HUNK, PLEASE!" Keith shook him, but little did Keith know, Hunk couldn't even hear him.
The pain was excruciating, Hunk's heart ached.
His stomach hurt, he was going to die.
Hunk believed that this was the end."YOU STAY ALIVE, GODDAMNIT!" Keith yelled, his voice breaking instantly as tears continued to flow down live a stream.
"L-LANCE! CALL AN AMBULANCE!"
Sorry for the angst, but the angst goddess has returned for a reason!
This message is very short.
