major writers block. That sucks. Though, the slow burn starts.
Based on what Veronica heard, she was apparently supposed to be at the gathering for Hunk's welcome home party. She wasn't.
Reason being, she was dealing with. . . other things. "Veronica, this is your own fault!"
The teacher reprimanded, slamming his hands on the desk. "You couldn't possibly give detention to James? He was the one who did it!" Veronica slammed her hands twice as loudly. The teacher scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"You were at the premises, young lady!" The teacher yelled back."Okay, that doesn't mean a thing, Mr.Kolivan! Please, just let me go—" Veronica tried to plead. "Not acceptable, Ms.Serrano." 'Kolivan'
said. "It's McClain." She said, turning around and running up the stairs. "I hope you know that detention is downstairs, Veronica." Kolivan remarked as he watched the girl turn back around....
On another topic, the famous café was unemployed at the moment. Matt was never there, and Rachel was off duty to any job at all. Keith and Lance mostly sat at the bench across the park and watched the café instead of actually working. Pidge was too paranoid or at the hospital with Hunk. Allura and Romelle couldn't care less about the café, they were the cliche StarBucks girls. Shiro and Adam were at work, hanging out their dorms, or at class.
That left about. . . nobody.
So, when the group of four teenagers when to retrieve old memories there, they couldn't help but be surprised. Construction workers were tearing down the place, and oh boy, did they put up a fight!
"Hey!" Pidge shouted with a squeak. A boy looked down, falsely smiling. "What?" He tilted her head. "Get down here, do you expect me to have a conversation with you up there?!" She yelled as the boy proceeded to climb down the step ladder. "Yes, m'mam?" He held his hips.
"What in the devil do you think you're doing, Ba-Bandor?" Pidge questioned, trying to pronounce his name. The three boys behind her shared a look.
"I'm just takin' down what I was told to take down, m'mam. I'm not trying to cause any harm." He plainly retaliated. "Who told you to take this down?" Hunk interfered.
"Some city official. They said it's a waste of space in such a small town like Altea."
He answered, sighing. His bangs flew forward.
"Look, you're holding up my work. What exactly do you want?" He interrogated.
"This is our spot! You can't just tear it down!" Lance crossed his arms, huffing.Pidge nodded, smiling. "Yeah!" She yelled.
"I'm just trying to do my job, fellas." He quirked his brows upwards, stepping back on the ladder. "Sorry." He shrugged.
Keith and Hunk sadly shared a glance as Pidge and Lance continued to yell and shout.
"Stop!" Romelle called from across the street.
"Brother, What in the devil are you doing?" She raised her eyebrows as she crossed.
"Romelle! Hey," the boy jumped down.
"I've been meaning to tell you something." He returned a hug that was initially from his sister.
"That can wait." She shoved a finger in his face.
"You're wreaking their spot, Bandor!" She argued with a frown. The boy glanced back at the four teens who seemed disappointed.
"Sorry, Romelle. I'm doing what I'm supposed to. Once we move, I don't have to tear down your friend's things." He repeated.Romelle squealed, clearly shocked.
"We're moving?" The group stared at the 'loving' interaction that occurred then and there. "Yes, two weeks. Enjoy Altea for now, that was the news." Bandor informed.
Romelle gulped. "I-I'll have to tell Allura, I'm guessing. Uh—excuse me," Romelle smiled weakly, running across the street again.
Bandor clenched his teeth, giving a feverish smile.
The four teens continued their approach back home, not bothering to argue.
"Damn it." Lance muttered. "Well, our five years lasted while it could." Hunk shrugged grimly. "Five years?" Keith's voice cracked.
"Mhm." Pidge hummed. "I was only ten, hah."
She chuckled. "You boys were such bullies, as well!" The girl claimed. Lance gasped dramatically. "We were not! Just because we were thirteen hanging with a girl that was only ten doesn't imply that we were bullies." Lance reclaimed, jaywalking."Woah, you guys have history." Keith sounded surprised. They all laughed after a moment of silence. "We practically went through World War III together." Pidge wiped a fake tear from her eye. "Makes me feel like such a loner. I had one friend in middle school." Keith mumbled.
...
Shiro and Adam, how do I say?
Their traveling from place to place was exhausting, they resumed their classes as well.
But, the one afternoon was what they agreed on. One afternoon with no projects, no work, no homework, no phones or any device for that matter. They would lock themselves in a dorm room for twelve hours, and that's it.All they had was each other.
Cliffhanger! At least I have something to write next chapter! I have something so big planned for this plot, though I need to figure out the events that lead to it.
I wouldn't want any surprises!
