"What is it?" Pidge asked, looking out the train's window. "Lance and I can kind of take Allura away, while you and Hunk ... you know." Matt shifted in his seat. Pidge chuckled to herself. "Like that would actually work." Pidge rolled her hazel eyes. Matt blankly stared at his sister, hoping she would let up.

Pidge thought it over, and about five minutes into the ride, she said yes. "Thank you! It's going to work, I promise you. All Lance and I want to do is help." Pure realization hit Pidge.
"You planned this out? Is this why Allura had to even come to the house? Just because you want to 'help' this thing me and Hunk have going on?" Pidge sounded pissed, though her facial expression showed a hint of gratefulness.

She sighed lowly, looking at Allura and Hunk at the other end of the dimly lit train. "How exactly are we going to do this?" The sunset glistened in her eyes. "You'll see," Matt grinned, Lance letting out some giggles from beside him. Pidge shook her head and smiled.
"Just don't kill us." She looked down, her toothy grin shining.

Lotor opened the door with a plain expression, then smiled. "Ah! Familiar faces!" Lotor laughed, his long and luscious hair flowing down. Allura smiled, and kissed his cheek.
"Happy Birthday, you grape." Allura patted his shoulder, walking in with tons of bags.

Hunk, Matt, Pidge smiled cutely, wishing him happy birthday simultaneously. "Happy Birthday, Lotor." Lance looked up, and Lotor looked down. "Thanks baby blue." Lotor said charmingly, batting his eyelashes. Lance had a mini heart attack, a long lasting mini heart attack.

The house was big, still empty. Except for Shiro and a few other seniors. Shiro stood by himself, until Lance immediately left Lotor, running to him. Matt and Hunk tried to contain laughter, as Pidge tried to catch the pounding footsteps on camera. Lotor just looked back in defeat.

"Hey Shiro." Lance panted, putting his hand on his hip casually. "Hi Lance." Shiro saluted shortly. Matt dragged him back a bit, giving Shiro more personal space. Lance stumbled back a bit. "Sorry, could we have a moment?" Matt walked to the table, Lance trudging behind him. Lance grit his teeth, annoyed.

"You're supposed to be pouncing on Allura like a dog, dude! Not Shiro. Shiro isn't a threat to Hunk's and Pidge's soon to be relationship." Matt wagged his finger in front of Lance's face.
"I don't want to pounce on Allura." Lance admitted, and Matt exhaled sharply.
"So why'd you agree to it?" He exaggerated, making dramatic hand movements.

"Matt, why can't you do it? You're the one who came up with the plan. Now please, let me have this." Lance strutted away, leaving Matt in the corner. "They never learn." Matt mumbled, Pidge and Hunk looking his way. He half shrugged, walking back over to them.
Lance began to approach Shiro once again, but he was talking to a mini version of himself.

The boy had a mullet, had a red and yellow jacket on, and had really nice violet eyes. He appeared to be a senior, a unfamiliar one.
"Lance! This is Keith, a junior. Well, soon to be senior, just like you guys." Shiro began, jerking his thumb in Keith's direction. "Hey, I'm Lance." Lance held his hand out, trying to make a good first impression. "Hi.." Keith shook it gently, not overdoing the whole introduction stereotype. Keith hates stereotypes.

"He's a new student." Shiro stated, taking another glance at the new boy. Lance gazed, initially he thought that Keith might be an emotional wreck who spills tears on the table.
That couldn't be right, his mouth seemed to be shut half the time. Lance wondered more and more into this boy. "I'm going to talk to that girl." Keith squinted at the little short girl known as Pidge Holt.

"Go for it." Shiro encouraged, and Keith side smiled. He never fully smiled, that something that Lance noticed. "So, Lance. Are you excited for senior year?" Shiro changed the topic quickly, already knowing how Lance is when it comes to Pidge. "Um, I guess." Lance looked to the side. "Did you get into Arbor?" Lance made direct eye contact with Shiro, his blue irises bursting with color.

"Yeah, I did. Lotor did, I think. I don't know about Allura, she may decide to stay for graduation with you guys. Matt is a whole different honors class, so..." Shiro's voice died down, not really sure if this type of stuff interested Lance at all. "Why don't you go talk to Lotor? He's been on and on about you, it's ridiculous." Shiro nudged Lance softly, and Lance nodded.

Lance made his way over to Lotor, passing that kid Keith and Pidge as he did. "So, you're eighteen?" Pidge leaned against the table.
"Yeah," Keith nodded, and Pidge smiled.
"Well, we're glad to have you in our senior class." Pidge pushed her glasses back up.
Lance giggled to himself. Pidge being a extrovert? Rare, very rare.

"Baby Blue, how nice to see you." Lotor tilted his head, and Allura drifted out of the area immediately. "I heard you've been talking about me." Lance shot a toothy smile.
"Of course, did you not expect me to?" Lotor winked, and Lance laughed it off. Lotor just wasn't up his alley.

"Lotor," Lance looked to the wall, then back to him. Lotor hummed in response. "What do you consider...a crush?" Lance looked back at Shiro, who was now conversing with Keith again. "Why? Crush on the new boy?" Lotor teased. Lance's eyebrow's raised and eyes widened. "Keith? Never. He's too emo." Lance turned a shade of pink.

"Alright, so who? Allura?" Lotor guessed with cruelty in his voice. "No, never! I wouldn't do that to you." Lance crouched down, his feet a little shaky. "So who- Pidge?" Lotor raised one brow. Lance gagged, looking at Lotor in disgust. "That's basically incest." Lance shrugged eerily. "Shiro." Lotor had to be right.

Lance just looked away and gave no response.
"You're telling me about this. Since when? How?" Lotor bent down. The doorbell rang loudly, and Lotor left to get it. A group of about 25 teenagers stood there, and Lotor obviously let them in. "Ugh," Lance grunted, going to run and hide by his own friends.

                                       ...

Later into the night, Shiro got a call.
"Takashi, it's your mother. She's in the hospital again." Mr.Shirogane from over the phone. Shiro stepped outside from the loud party, and almost broke down crying.
"Middleton hospital, okay? Stay strong, son." Mr.Shirogane ended the line, and Shiro bit his bottom lip.

Lance stepped outside, peering at him.
"You okay?" He asked, closing the door behind him. The sound was muffled again. "No, Lance. My mother. She's in the hospital again. I'm sorry, I'm going. T-Tell everybody I'm sorry I had to leave." Shiro frowned deeply, and Lance nodded.

Keith was about to check on Shiro, his only friend at the time. Lance opened the door as Shiro ran off. "Lance, where's Shiro?" Keith asked in his groggy voice. "He had a family emergency. He's not coming back to the party," Lance walked pass him, heading toward Hunk and Matt.

"Hey," Keith said in his firmest voice that he could make up. Lance turned around, the music blasting in his ears. "Wanna play a game?" Keith actually smiled, and this time... Lance believed it was genuine.

// Finally, Keith's in the book! Sorry I made everybody wait so long, I was figuring out how I wanted to implement him. Don't worry, they will be the iconic rivals you all love. It's just not in the way you would think.//
