September 10th, Monday [Lunch]

The second week of school. Greatly enough, Lance failed to appear anywhere on school property. "So he's just not here?" Hunk asked as Keith dialed his number for about the fifteenth time. "No! He didn't call me, or meet me, or text me, or —" Pidge ran through the cafeteria door, her knapsack slinging on the door noisily. "Hey!" She called, very few heads turning to see her. "Hey, have you seen Lance today?" Hunk greeted, taking his yellow binder he had left at her house.

"Nope, you guys haven't seen him?" Pidge panted, setting her bag down beside her.
"Is he sick or something?" Romelle joined the conversation, approaching with a lunch tray.
"I don't think he is." Keith exasperatedly sighed. "I'll run to his house and come back. We need to know if he's okay." Keith offered, hoping Hunk would even think of approving.
"Sure. But come back by one-thirty, we have art class together." Hunk smiled, letting Keith go his way. Romelle waved goodbye, assuming that Keith wasn't coming back to school.

Keith watched as the rain hit down on the ground. He groaned, not bothering to even put his hood up. So, he ran to Lance's house.
The rain hit hard, especially in Canada. Well, that is where they lived. Altea, in Canada. In the province of Quebec. That's irrelevant right now. Keith slipped through as the water splashed behind his footsteps.

He approached the blue house, which was now a shade darker from the rain hitting the paint.
The nice sound of a doorbell rang. Veronica answered, smiling as she saw her brother's friend. "Hi, Veronica." Keith caught his breath, smiling in return. Veronica gestured for him to come inside. "Have you seen Lance?" Keith desperately asked. She shook her head. "Not since yesterday. I woke up and went out earlier, he wasn't in his room. Sorry." She apologetically answered.

"Thanks, but another question. Is Rachel at her classes right now?"

...

Keith jogged up 99 Maple Lane. Arbor college was near, and determinedly, Keith ran to it.
He had ran all around town, even though he damn well knew Lance could have arrived at school late. He also knew that Lance could've been moving place to place. Though that has barely stopped Keith. It wasn't his business of Lance's whereabouts, but he still cared enough to check. . . all around town.

The sizable building was standing there, intimidating Keith to an extent. He noted the other building behind him, which was even more frightening. Arbor-High, the dream school of Lance and his favorable friends.
The school that Keith denied for Tulsa.
He took his hood down, which had earlier on decided to put up, and walked up the steps, into the college.

Keith has definitely obtained a cold from the weather, but again, the possibility didn't stop him. The wandered around the first floor, passing by a tense boy with glasses.
"Keith?" The boy said, making Keith's Head turn. He hoped that this person was Lance, though it wasn't. "Adam!" Keith smiled, earning a smile back.

"Long time, no see, Kogane. I remember a little sixth grader by my side. Look at you now." Adam chuckled, finding an odd resemblance to Shiro in Keith's face. "So, What are you doing here?" Adam asked as they walked to the second floor. "Uh, I'm looking for somebody named Lance." Keith told, spotting Rachel on the sidelines. "Rachel!" He called out, gesturing for her to come over.

She looked side to side, then advanced on to them. "Hey, what are you doing here? And why are you hanging out with Adam?" She nudged her classmate, directing a question at Keith.
"I'm looking for Lance. And Adam and I went to middle school together. I was a sixth grader and he was an eighth." Keith had an anticipation that Lance was here. Where else would he be?

"Oh, yeah. He's up on the platform talking to Matt. Did you run all the way here just to see him?" She observed Keith's soaked clothing.
"No, well—yes. But I needed to know if he was okay. I mean Pidge, Hunk, and I. We needed to know. So I offered to run here. Actually not here, around town." Keith rambled as Adam stared. "Go get him, he's up there." Adam pointed to a platform held outside.

"Thanks." He began jogging up the stairs.
Was Keith crazy on his own? Probably.
Was Keith crazy for Lance? Definitely.
Who runs around town looking for their 'friend'? Answer: Keith Kogane.

Keith's phone vibrated in his pocket. Hunk was ringing his phone. It was past one-thirty. Well, did Hunk really think that Keith would be back in a half-hour? That was impossible, even Hunk knew that. "Hello?" Keith dreadfully answered. "Keith. Hunk told you to be back here by one-thirty! Where the hell are you, it's two o'clock!" Pidge yelled from the other side.

"I'm at Arbor college, I found —" Pidge grunted frustratedly from the phone speaker. "How the freakin' hell did you end up there?" She sighed.
"I found Lance." Keith opened the door to the platform, almost dropping his phone at the sight. What the actual hell was happening?

Lance and Shiro were laughing , Lance's hands on Shiro's shoulders, and Shiro held his stomach. This implied that he was laughing nonstop. Keith blinked, closing the door.
Shiro has gotten back and didn't even text him or call to see how school was going? And why was Lance at Arbor anyways?

"Hello. . .? Keith..." Pidge waited at the other end. "I-I'll call you in a few minutes." Keith But his bottom lip. "But, Keith! What did you fin—" the call was forced to end. Keith smacked himself on the head. He was such an idiot.

He had just ran around the whole of Altea looking for Lance in the pounding rain, and he gets to find Lance—his new love interest, by the way— with his 'former crush'. Wow, that's great. Keith softly inhaled and exhaled, putting on a smile. "Hey—" Keith was shattered by a simple hug shared between Shiro and Lance.
One hug. It shattered his universe.

"Oh, hi Keith! Shiro's back! Isn't that great?" Lance cheerfully smiled.

"Yeah. . . it's great."

Xxx Sad boi hours! Oh no, I'm so sorry that I have given you angst. But here, take this lesson of the day. Don't be a dick and tell somebody [ which you know has feelings for you ] that you don't like a specific person any longer.
Then, you turn around and suck up to this specific person who was a 'former crush'. It isn't right.

Oof, sorry for being so salty. But seriously, this happened to me, and personally it isn't a good feeling. So, I kind of portrayed my life events into this book a little bit. I hope you all don't mind. Sorry for making Lance such a bitch this chapter, but you all know that in reality, Lance is a sweetheart.

Please don't kill me. Anyways, love you all. Kisses, Rena and Madelyn [My official co-writer and absolute best friend] <3
