The italics stand for Keith's thoughts, I just wanted to clarify. Hope you enjoy!
Keith stared out the window, thinking about his friends. He was worried about Hunk, and how he left him with Pidge and Lance.
He couldn't of felt more sorry. Though, he needed to take the blame for all of them.
He hadn't had any form of alcohol, but he reeked of it. If they tested him, they were all screwed. Lance and Pidge would get a sentence, if the the police found them.
Then, Keith and Hunk would be alone."Alright, kid. We're here." The officer's car came to a stop and Keith's stomach sank to a level that he'd never experienced before.
"We're gonna do some test on ya', okay?"
The officer informed in his southern accent.
Keith twitched, but the Officer was oblivious.
"Okay." Keith managed to mumble.Damn it! If they run tests on me, then they'll go back. They'll look for them. Damnit, Keith! You're such an idiot!
Keith gulped as the officer held him forcefully.
Would this be a hell of a ride, or so he thought.
...
Allura rang the doorbell.
Romelle opened the door. "Allura!"
"Look, I'm not supposed to be here, but I don't trust anybody else. Take these two and go. Lock yourself in your room with them, and don't come out until I say so." Allura handed Pidge over and Lance was able to walk unsteadily.
"Allura, What is this about?!" Romelle asked, now concerned. "I don't have much time, Romelle. It involves the police. They might come here, they might not. This is safer and quicker than Colleen's house." Allura gave the girl a quick hug, smiling warmly. "Thank you so much." Allura beamed, and Romelle smiled back.
"No problem, return shortly!"
And with that, Romelle tied her hair up, placed a sleeping Pidge on the bed, and locked her door. Her and Lance were going to stay up, having a conversation. Though, she knew Lance would be out by time sunrise.
...
Rachel and Matt left Hunk At Pidge's House,
mostly because they didn't want officers to raise their suspicions when a boy the same age as a potential arrestee shows up.They drove in silence, anticipation killing them. The couple was nervous, but simultaneously relieved. Their confidence wasn't mediocre, but still, it stood face to face in a battle with anxiety. Lance and Pidge were hopefully safe, Hunk was being watched over by—well a security camera, Keith was doing alright—at least that's what Rachel and Matt hoped.
Rachel paraded into the station, ready to bust any face that got in her way. Determined, she gripped her boyfriend's hand. "Come on, we have things to do." She instructed. Matt, who was intimidated, followed her.
((Oof such a powerful woman))
The officers glanced at the marching girl, not paying her any sort of mind. She was probably just here to report something, right?
Rachel walked up to the receptionist, who was a nice elderly lady. "Good—morning, dear. How can I help you, are you here to report something?" The lady, who's name tag read 'Janice', smiled.
"No, I'm afraid I'm not. I'm here to get information of Keith Kogane. He was supposedly just checked in about ten minutes ago, for underage drinking and possible possession of drugs." Rachel insisted on one spec of information.
"Oh," the lady hummed as she scanned her book. "Yes! Yes, dear. He's being tested, if he was underage drinking—he'll only have to pay a fine." Janice informed. "How much is the fine, if you don't mind me asking." Rachel glanced at Matt. "It's 200 dollars, along with a suspension of Keith's driving privileges." Janice sympathized.
"I'd like to pay the fine." Rachel took out her bag as Matt stood on the sidelines. He practically drooled over her selflessness.
She glanced at him a quick smile.
"What a amazing woman, you have here, boy."
Janice directed to Matt. "May I ask, what are your names?" Janice asked, accepting the money Rachel handed her."I'm Matt, this is Rachel. Keith's our friend, and her brother's boyfriend." Matt informed swiftly. "How nice, I hope Keith will stay out of trouble. I saw him walk in, a little old lady like me was intimated." They chuckled all at once.
"It's was nice meeting you, loves. Have a good day." Janice smiled, typing on her computer.Rachel leaned against the wall, waiting for Keith to be released. The officer walked out, unlocking Keith's handcuffs. He assumed that Matt and Rachel were the guardians of Keith, which didn't necessarily have to be true.
Rachel ran to hug the short boy, and he snuggled into her shoulder. "Thank you so much." He said, finally pulling away from her warm and sweet embrace.Rachel cupped his cheeks, squeezing them a bit. "You did a good thing for Lance, Pidge, and Hunk. We're proud of you," She said, nodding once. Keith smiled, his cheeks rosy and his expression soft.
Meanwhile, the officer was talking to Matt.
"He's a good kid. The test came back negative for any consummation of alcohol, and he wasn't acting tipsy. The boy was very cooperative, he's a rare one." The Officer complimented. "The name's Officer Griffin." He held out his hand to Matt."Name's Matthew. I think I know your son, James?" Matt shook his hand, thinking of the time he had to pick Veronica up from that nightclub. He saw James once, he was a keeper. The way he held onto Veronica and waited for somebody to get her was a sight of true friendship.
"Oh yeah? You're girlfriend over there is Rachel McClain, right? Veronica's name is all I hear about from James." Officer Griffin laughed. Matt smiled. "H-He's a good kid,
stayed with Ronnie til' I came for her."
Matt enhanced."That's great to hear. I better get back to work, Hey Keith. Stay out of trouble kid," Officer Griffin saluted, and disappeared.
Nice and sweet ending, this was one of my shorter chapters. Hope you enjoyed, Love you all. Thanks for reading ❤️
