Today was a good day to clear out the deads bodies and make this an official home. Glenn drove the truck up while Daryl and Rick carried them outside.

I mostly hung around outside watching everyone work. These people have memories, they know what their missing and what their not. Apart of me felt jealous, the other relieved I don't miss anything.

Zeb was inside with Lori. Hershel had quit breathing earlier and she saved his life. At least someone did.

"Hey." Beth walked up behind me. "What are you doing out here by yourself?"

"Watching the guys work." I shrugged. "What are you doing?"

"Needed some air." She sighed.

"Well, good as place as any." I chuckled.

"Yea." She half smiled. "You really don't remember anything before waking up?"

"Not a thing." I frowned. "I don't even know if I want to remember:"

"You must've had nice parents." She said. "Everyone does."

"Not everyone, hun." I tapped the table getting up. "I'm gonna go check your dad."

She nodded. I walked back inside and Hershel was awake. He was talking and smiling like nothing happened.

"Hey." I whispered walking into his cell. "Glad to see your up and ok."

"Me too." He chuckled. "I need some air."

He grabbed the upper bunk lifting himself up. Lori grabbed the crutches Carl had found and helped him lean on them. "Take it slow." She instructed.

"No." He laughed. "I've been asleep long enough."

We all laughed and helped him out the doors to see the bright sunshine. The two prisoners were outside and locked out by the entrance. They must have made rick mad.

We all stopped at the fence and looked down at the guys. Glenn shouted, all excited for Hershel being awake. Hell I'm excited.

Carol was staring at Daryl smiling, I rolled my eyes and held onto Hershel so he didn't fall.

Snarls behind us started getting closer then Carl shot. A hoard was coming from the side of the prison that had the small hide space we had locked.

"The gates open!" T shouted. He and Carol ran towards it so T could shut it but he was bitten.

Maggie took Carl and Lori into the prison to find somewhere safe with Zeb following. Beth led Hershel into the fence. I stood there watching everything unfold. Basically frozen.

"Allison!" Beth was screaming.

I shook my head. Something was rushing over my body. The heat was so intense but I couldn't shake it. I was on fire.

I walked right through the hoard of walkers setting some on fire and cutting some down. I didn't have control.

I took out half before gunshots were ringing. The flames died down and I fell to my knees. I was exhausted and out of breath which was strange. That's never happened before. The prison alarms started squealing. Rick, Daryl and Glenn followed by the two prisoners busted through the gate.

"Where did they go?" Rick shouted.

"Maggie took Lori and Carl through the cell block." Hershel shouted back. "Zebs with them."

"Was anyone bit?" Rick asked.

"Only T that I saw." Hershel nodded.

"Glenn, Daryl let's go, you two too if you know how to shut this off. You just sit down and rest Allison." Rick instructed.

I couldn't speak so I just nodded my head. Outside was clear, there were no more walkers coming out.

The fence door squeaked open and the sounds of crutches approached me slowly. "Breathe. That's the important part." Hershel whispered.

"I guess we know an affect." I chuckled softly.

"And it exonerates you." Hershel nodded. "Let's try not to do that again."

"I didn't even try." I frowned. "It just happened."

"Are you hurt?" Beth kneeled beside me.

"I'm fine, Beth." I nodded. "I'll be fine."

The three of us sat outside waiting for the rest to re emerge.

The gate squeaked open and they all ran outside.

"You didn't find them?" Hershel asked concerned.

Rick shook his head. "We have to look again."

The door squeaked again and Maggie, Carl and Zeb walked out shaking and crying. Maggie had a small thing wrapped up in a shirt. Looking more closely it was a baby. Loris baby.

Rick approached Maggie and started crying. Lori didn't make it. Neither did T or Carol. All that was left is right here. Rick dropped to the ground crying, then got up grabbed his hatchet and ran into the prison.

"Bring me the baby." Hershel yelled.

Maggie walked slowly over to her dad and let him take a look at it.

"She seems to be healthy, but we are gonna need some food for her soon." He instructed.

"I'll go." Daryl volunteered. "We ain't losing her. Not her."

"I'll go with you." Maggie yelled.

"Me too." Glenn added.

They grabbed some gear and ran to the cars. The motorcycle crank up and Daryl and Maggie were gone. Glenn came back and told them what was going on. Beth was sitting beside me holding the baby.

"She's so little." Beth was smiling.

"She is." I nodded. "She will survive this world."

"I know she will, as long as she has you and Zeb." Beth nodded at me. "We're all lucky to have you."

"No, I'm lucky to have you." I nudge her gently with my arm. "I'd be alone and confused if I was alone. No offense Zeb." I chuckled.

Zeb sat down at Beth feet and laid his head on her knee looking at the baby. He sniffed her feet then her head. "What's he doing?" Beth asked.

"He's getting use to her smell." I smiled. "So if anything else like this happened, he'd be able to find her with no problems."

"Now, I'm for real glad we have you." She laughed scratching Zebs head.

*********

It was getting night time by the time Daryl and Maggie came back. They brought a few things of formula and dropped them off with Beth.

Daryl grabbed the baby and held her. "What's her name?" He asked looking at her.

"I don't know yet." Carl said frowning. "There's Sophia, Andrea, Amy, Jacqui, Carol, Lori.."

"How about little ass kicker." Daryl said. "Yea, you like that name huh? Little ass kicker.

We all laughed and agreed to call her that until Carl came up with a name for his baby sister. Beth came back with a bottle and took the baby to feed her. Beth would be the main carer for her, with Zeb by her side.
