Trailing

We decided to follow the horse first, since we couldn't exactly see the guy. But we failed. We found the horse being surrounded by walkers and being torn apart. And if we kept trailing after people and animals, we'd never make it to the base. So I'm gonna have to go alone, if I can get away.

"Damn." Daryl groaned. "Poor bastard." He knocked an arrow and shot the horse in the head killing it to save it from suffering.

"We need to find the guy in the poncho." Aaron whispered. "He went that way."

"I need to get to the base." I groaned. "I'll catch up with you guys."

"Alone?" They both said.

"Yes, alone. Go see if you can catch that guy. I'll catch up."

I turned and jumped into the tree tops and jumped from tree to tree until I could see the base. Dead soldiers littered the ground and people torn apart. Some walkers were roaming around a building that had tents surrounding it. Great.

I jumped down and began to work my way towards the building. To my surprise, the building was completely vacant. I walked around trying to find something that said 'files'.

The sounds of metal clanging against a wall caught my attention, so I slowly made my way towards the sound. A person in a yellow suit, like the one who woke me up was in a lab looking through a scope and groaning at their work.

"H-hello?" I whispered to them.

"Oh, good. You made it." They stood up and walked forward examining my face. Turning it left then right then up then down. "You took the last drop. How do you feel?"

"I-I feel different. But who are you?"

"Oh, my names Ann. I'm your mother." The woman removed her helmet and smiled a bit. "I've been waiting for you to get here since I woke you up."

"What?" I shook my head. "My mothers name was rose. Not Ann."

"You were adopted. We had an agreement, Ann an I." She explained. "She'd raise you, until you were 21, then I'd get you for experimenting."

"I don't understand." I muttered.

"You were always special, Allison. It's hard to explain. You had rare blood and I took some when you were a baby. This virus with the dead, its man made. I used that to create you. You will be this worlds salvation, the re creator of life."

"So you people killed the planet just for it to be saved!?" I growled through my teeth.

"We didn't. Someone released the virus and wanted to destroy you, and I must've done a better job than I thought. Because here you are." She took out a needle and reached for my arm. "I need to run some more test, arm please."

I lifted it up and didn't feel the needle enter my vein. "I need more information."

"Ok." She nodded taking the needle from my arm. She walked over to the scope and put a drop on the slide with Walker blood. "Interesting. Your immune. I can create a vaccine maybe with this. It'll take time, but what do you need?"

"I need to know who I am."

"You're Allison dover. Rose was your adoptive mother, bob was your adoptive father. You had two brothers, James and Kevin. You do have a real brother, but I have no idea where he ran off to months ago. His names Dwight. Here." She slid out some more folders. "It has everything you're looking for. I know where you are if I need you."

"But who's my real father?"

"I'm not at liberty to discuss him." She shook her head. "I can tell you though, he didn't make it in this world."

I nodded my head stuffing the folders into a bag. "Thanks I guess." I muttered.

"And please, take this." She handed me a tube of more black stuff. "If you need it. And please bring my grandson with you next time."

"So you can do what you did to me to him?" I scoffed. "No, you'll stay far the hell away from my son."

"I'm still your mother and one day you will thank me for this gift."

"I doubt that." I spat. "All you've done is take everything I was away. My memories, my life. I don't know you, and frankly I don't care to." Instead of using the front door, I made me an exit with the roof.

I heard loud sirens and horns and seen flashing lights in the distance so I made my way to them. A man with a stick was leaning against the gate evaluating the situation so I jumped down behind him making him turn swinging a stick. "I don't want to hurt you." He warned.

I brought out a sword. "Neither do I."

"What are you?"

"Why does everyone ask me that? I'm just a person." I brought it back in and looked at the walkers surrounding a car in the center. "Someone's in there." I jumped over the gate holding onto the man I just met. We took one side so whoever it was could crawl out.

"Oh thank god." Aaron said sliding out.

"Everyone out!" I screamed. I distracted the walkers until they all exited through the gate and locking it back up. I jumped over and landed on my knees. "I think-I-" I blacked out.

"What is she man?" I heard a voice yell.

"We don't know." Daryl's gruff voice answered. "She's my girlfriend, fiancé whatever."

"She's a monster." The man blurted.

"No, she's not. Maybe talk to her first." Aaron whispered. "She's waking up."

"What the hell happened!?" I whispered looking down at myself.

"You were bitten." The man with the stick said. "How are you not dead?"

"I think if you come with us, we can explain it more." I nodded. "It's hard. Oh and I met my mother."

"Wait, your mother?" Daryl raised his brow kneeling beside me.

"My real mom." I nodded. "Ann."

"What happened?" He grabbed my hand helping me up.

"More folders and more serum. She explained some stuff. We need to get back to Eugene."

Daryl nodded in agreement. "We can let Rick know too."

"So you do know Rick." The guy whispered shaking his head.

"We do." I said nodding to the man. "I'm Allison."

"And I'm Morgan."
