By nightfall we had to stop and rest and feed the kids. Zeb stayed close to all the little ones while I sat up with Carol.

"I know it was you." I whispered. "To be honest, I'd have probably done the same thing."

"You're not mad at me for it?" She asked dazed.

"Why would I be? You made a good decision to try and stop it before it started." I nodded.

"Was Daryl mad?" She frowned.

"Daryl understood. He was too busy being mad at me to even consider what you did was good or bad." I chuckled lightly.

"What'd you do?" She laughed.

"Being stubborn." I shrugged.

"Well that's just you." She laughed squeezing my hand. "You can't let anyone stop you from doing something right."

"And I don't." I shrugged. "But I hope he's ok."

"I'm sure he is. It's hard to kill a Dixon." She half smiled.

"Except it isn't." I frowned remembering Merle. "I kind of miss Merle's redneck banter."

"I think everyone does." She laughed.

"Get some rest Carol, I'll keep watch." I rested my hand on her shoulder.

"Why not go look for them?" She asked before getting up.

"Who?" I asked confused.

"Daryl and Rick?" She answered.

"Because I wouldn't know the first place to look, or if they even got out together." I replied frowning at the ground.

"You know where we are headed so you can go if you feel you need to." Carol whispered wrapping me into a hug. "Just not a word I'm here."

"I'm not leaving you Carol. I'm staying right here." I squeezed her tighter. "Your like a mom I don't even remember."

"I'll take that as a compliment." She chuckled.

She released me and laid down beside the little ones falling asleep. I sat on the wall watching them sleep. The last drop is in my system and I'm feeling different, funny even. I don't know what's going on. But we need to go somewhere safe soon.

When the sun rose, so did everyone else. We had little food and what little we did have we have to the kids. Their more important.

"Allison?" Carol said walking towards me. "Life up your shirt."

"Why?" I sighed.

"Please humor me." She pleaded.

I jumped off the wall and lifted my shirt. My stomach was bigger than what it was yesterday.

"Your, but- that's not possible." She whispered touching it. Something moved and she jumped back. "It's almost due."

"But how?" I asked looking down. "It wasn't like this last night."

"That serum." She covered her mouth. "It's rushing the process. It has to heal your body, and it can't while it's still in there."

"So I can literally have this baby any second or any day?" I asked frowning.

"It's possible." She nodded. "We need to go. Find somewhere that's safe."

We walked on down the tracks until we ran out of water. So we had to stop again so Carol and ty could go look for some.

"Are you a monster?" Lizzie asked cocking her head.

"No." I shook my head. "I'm just different."

"That's not nice Lizzie. Monsters want to hurt us, she protects us." Micah whispered.

"It's ok girls." I whispered. "Just feed Judith, ok?"

They both nodded and sat in silence until Carol and ty returned.

"We found a cottage." Ty whispered excited. "Hurry come on."

We followed the two into the woods and into a clearing. They wasn't joking about the cottage they literally found one.

"Should be safe enough to have your baby." Carol whispered rubbing my back. "Then you can heal."

I nodded in agreement. We walked through the small fence that was around the place and sat the kids down outside with Zeb at their feet.

"Zeb. Don't help them if a walker comes, they have to learn to deal with them." Carol ordered scratching his head. "But if it's more than one you can do what you need to."

Zeb growled and bowed his head. I know it'll be hard for him to allow these kids to do what has to be done only because he loves all of them, mostly Judith.

I walked around the side of the house to make sure outside was clear while ty and Carol looked around inside the house. I was all the way on the other side when I heard the gun shot. I tried to jump but I felt like I was about to explode. Something didn't feel right so I limped back around falling and screaming.

"Allison!" Ty yelled running toward me. He lifted me up and ran me into the house laying me on a bed that was so soft and perfectly made.

"Ok, I need to remove your pants." Carol said shakily. "I need to look."

I undid my pants button and helped her as much as I could. She threw a blanket over my legs and peeked down under. "I see a head." She whispered. "It's coming now." She yelled for ty to bring her some water and an extra blanket. "Ok, I need you to push. As hard as you can."

I bear down on my ass as far as I could go and I pushed like hell until it was out. Even unable to die and feel a bullet, I could sure feel that. And man it hurt like hell!

"It's a boy." Carol sighed wiping him off and cuddling him up. "Allison?" I was in and out. My eyes couldn't stay open no matter how hard I fought. "Just rest. You'll be good as new soon." Carol whispered rubbing my bare leg.

She covered me up completely and dimmed the light so I could rest and heal. I'd see my son tomorrow. Yea....tomorrow. I drifted off into a dark abyss. No stars, just darkness.
