"You can't kill him!" Rick yelled "he has a whole army of people behind him. All you will do is cause more chaos. I have it under control!" He stood up and stormed upstairs.

Michonne looked at me shaking her head frowning. "He's right. It'll only cause more chaos. But I do agree, I wish someone would kill him, for what he's done."

Perhaps they were right about the chaos, especially if he had a army of people. But I wasn't afraid. Also it just means putting off being normal.

"So I have to sit here with my hands tied?" I asked.

"For now." She nodded "hopefully he will come up with an idea."

With how things were looking, I doubt rick wanted to fight. He's getting older and more tired.

"I hope your right."

She stopped me before I could reach for the door handle grabbing my hand "one more thing. Maggie wants you at hilltop. I'll write out directions for you."

I nodded and departed from the house running into Eugene who was still a crying mess over the loss of Abraham.

"Sorry." He muttered. "It's been hard and now I have to come up with an idea to give them when they arrive."

"I'll help you." I offered. "Keep you busy."

He nodded "much appreciated. But I think I'll do this solo."

He walked away wiping his eyes. Abraham was his first friend, the first person who ever protected him. I felt bad for him, but I have my own problems to work out.

A week passed and I still haven't left for hilltop. Michonne wrote me the directions but everyday I couldn't bring myself to leave Alexandria.

I'd be leaving more of my family at the mercy of this negan person, and possibly a lot more deaths. I just couldn't do it.

"When are you heading to hilltop?" Rosita asked me.

"I don't know if I can leave here." I shrugged. I stood staring at the gate while everyone around me was rushing to find supplies for the other group.

Her and spencer were about to head out to scavenge some places. The car was already parked at the gate ready to go.

"Maybe you won't have to." Spencer said trying to sound cheerful. "You still have another week before they get here."

From a distance I heard truck engines revving and getting closer. "Maybe not." I peeked through a hole in the gate "their here now."

"What?" Rosita asked shaking her head "their early."

A big black truck was first. A guy wielding a bat dropped out laughing like an idiot. "Little pig, little pig, let me in!" He shouted banging on the gate.

Rick came running and opened the gate to see him better. "Your early."

"Do I have to ask you again to let me in, Rick?" The man asked smiling. Rick shook his head and opened the min gate letting him through. "Why don't you show me around this dump?"

Daryl walked through the gate with Dwight right behind him. "You ok?" Rick asked him.

"He's the help, also off limits. Do not speak to him." The man warned.

Daryl's eyes met mine and my anger grew. Daryl was pleading with me through his eyes to not do anything. But I couldn't resist. "Then I'll ask him." I said looking at Daryl. "Are you ok?"

The man stepped closer to me examining me "I just said he's off limits."

I stepped back laughing "and he's my property." I showed him my ring finger "not yours."

"Ah, Daryl has a wifey." He said swinging his bat. "Damn, I did not see that coming."

"There's a lot of things you will never see coming." I muttered.

"Rick, I like her." He said smiling. "I think I'll take her too, so she can be with her precious Daryl."

"You can't take her." Rick refused "she has a son she has to take care of."

The man thought for a minute "I'll take him too." He finally said.

"Good luck with forcing me." I said half smiling. "See, I'm not afraid of you."

Dwight walked over grabbing my arm "I'll take care of her, go ahead and do your business negan."

Negan smiled nodding his head. "Let's go, shall we rick?"

Before they arrived I had plans of my own put into place. As soon as Carl noticed they were here, he'd put Harley on zebs back and Zeb would jump over the back gate and hide with him until they were gone. Me? I'd do whatever I'd have to, to keep them safe.

"Are you crazy!?" Dwight asked spinning me around. "He will kill everyone here, starting with Daryl."

"No he won't." I shook my head. "If you know about me, then you know everything."

"I do." He nodded. "But I also know how much you care about these people. It's written all over you."

I laughed in his face jerking free "don't patronize me brother. I'm smarter than that."

I walked away leaving him behind me. All I heard was him yelling at Daryl to get to work.

Rick was busy showing negan around the community, so it was a good time for me to sneak away to see if Harley and Zeb were clear.

I jumped over the back gate and headed off into the woods. Zeb was curled up under a tree waiting to go back home. Harley was fast asleep on zebs back.

"Good boy." I scratched Zeb between the ears. "But their wanting to take me and Harley with them. We can't allow it. It's time to go to hilltop to see Maggie."

Zeb knew what it meant to leave our home, he'd also be leaving Judith. But he also knew he had to protect Harley.

"I'll be back soon and we can go, I need to grab some of Harley's things. I'll be quick."

I jumped back over the gate peeking around the corner of the house. When it was clear I ran around to the front and walked inside. I grabbed a bag throwing some toys and clothes and a couple bottles into the bag zipping it all up. Now just to sneak back out.

I looked out the windows to see where people were. No one was in sight so I ran around to the back.

"You can't leave." Dwight whispered. "He will notice and send someone after you or kill someone here."

"Stand guard for me. I gotta take this to my tiger and I'll come right back then."

I knew Dwight was right, so I had no choice but to send Zeb to hilltop without me. I jumped over the gate running back to Zeb. I tied the bag to him and rubbed his head.

"I'm sorry boy. You'll have to go without me. Protect my son." I kissed both their heads and read the directions off to Zeb and watched as they ran away.

I jumped back in the gate and followed Dwight back to the front. "Wise decision. With you there, you have a better chance."

I had no idea what he meant by that, and not sure I really want to know.
