It's been two more days and no word from anyone about a meeting. Hopefully soon there will be.
"Hey Rick?" I whispered. "What's that?" I asked pointing in the wood line outside the fence.
"I'll be right back." He muttered taking off towards whatever it is.
To me, it looks like a person hiding and watching. Suspicious if you ask me. But we will see when Rick returns. Until then I'll sit here and enjoy the sun.
"Where's Rick?" Glenn asked sitting beside me.
I pointed to the bottom fence. "Down there."
"Why there?" He asked cocking his head.
"Saw something." I shrugged. "He went to check it out."
"Maybe it's someone about the meeting." He shrugged.
"Could be." I nodded. "Where's Maggie?"
"Inside feeding the baby." He pointed to the prison.
"I think I'll go grab a turn of holding her." I chuckled getting up. "Keep an eye on Rick, I know he's not in his right mind right now."
"Will do." Glenn nodded.
I walked inside and found literally everyone sitting at the tables talking among themselves. Carol was with Daryl, Michonne was sitting by herself cleaning her sword, Merle was laying inside the gate, and Maggie was with Beth, Hershel, Judith, and Carl with Zeb at her feet.
"Hey." I whispered sitting by Maggie. "My turn yet?" I laughed.
"Sure." Maggie chuckled handing me Judith. "Got her?"
"Yea." I nodded. "She's so little."
"She is." Maggie agreed.
"So, how are you feeling?" Hershel asked.
"I feel fine." I answered. "Still no change."
"Only because that wasn't all the serum." Carol interrupted. "I took some for safe keeping. I should've told you."
"Where is it now?" Hershel asked.
"I gave it to Daryl." Carol nodded. "It's to only keep you safe."
"Thank you, Carol." I squeezed her hand.
The doors squeaked open and Rick and Glenn stepped in.
"Listen up!" Rick shouted. "Beth take Judith inside, Carl go with her."
"What's going on?" I asked handing Judith over to Beth.
"Meeting is set for tomorrow morning." Rick nodded. "We need to go over a plan."
"We're listening." Daryl moved over to my side placing his hand on my knee.
"Ok, so of course Allison is coming. But no one can see you." Rick explained. "Hershel can you?"
"I can." Hershel nodded. "I'll drive."
"And Daryl." Rick nodded.
"You got it." Daryl nodded.
"Rick?" I started. "I think he seen me anyways. When we got Daryl and his brother."
"He didn't see anything did he?" Rick rubbed his forehead.
"No. Just me." I shook my head.
"Then you can be on the ground. I'm sure it's fine." Rick nodded. "Get some rest, we leave tomorrow morning."
We all nodded. Daryl grabbed my hand pulling me back into the alarm room.
"Why do we always come in here?" I laughed.
"It's the only place we have privacy." He shrugged leaning into kiss me.
************
The wall of shame was funny this round. Considering darkness just fell outside and Daryl and I were gone almost all day. People were still up getting things ready for tomorrow.
"Done already baby brother?" Merle shouted laughing.
"Shut up Merle." Daryl growled.
I walked up the stairs to my cot and flipped down. Daryl walked slowly behind me and sat down on his cot.
"You ok?" He whispered.
"I'm fine." I muttered.
"You sure?" He grunted laying down.
I peered up from my pillow and growled.
"You're not a tiger." He laughed.
"I can pretend." I chuckled. "Get some sleep. You need it."
He pulled my cot over to his making it a bigger bed, throwing a blanket over us both and pulling me into him.
"You try." He whispered kissing my head.
***********
What does love mean? It means waking up with the person who drives you crazy. Being with the person who miss even when their near. I'm falling in love with this man. Everything about him drives me insane.
"Mornin." Daryl rolled over placing a kiss on my nose.
"Morning." I chuckled.
"I'm starving." He sat up stretching his arms over his head.
"Carol made breakfast. Go get you something." I whispered.
He nodded and got up racing down the stairs into the bigger room. I have to be alone. I closed my eyes and saw something I couldn't explain. I saw a woman and man leaning over a small girl with bright happy smiles on their faces. The little girls name was Allison, she was me. I think part of my past is coming back. A young boy was sitting beside me, a brother?
I got up and raced down the stairs into Beth's cell where I stashed my bag. I dug through and found my folders. Opening one I skimmed until I found what I was looking for.
"I had a brother." I whispered. "James Dover."
"You ok?" Beth stopped at the door.
"I'm fine." I nodded throwing my folder back into my bag.
She nodded her head and walked inside grabbing a bottle.
I walked out behind her and sat down beside Hershel. "I had a brother." I whispered.
"You remember something?" Hershel raised his brow.
"Maybe." I shrugged. "I closed my eyes and this image appeared." I explained.
"Maybe the serum helps with memories too." Hershel nodded.
"Yea, maybe." I sighed. "I need some air."
I got up and walked outside into the morning air. Footsteps walked behind me, so I knew I was followed.
"You feeling ok?" Maggie's voice cooed.
"I'm fine." I nodded. "Just thinking."
"Wanna talk about it?" She leaned on the gate looking at me.
"I had a brother..." I sighed. "I don't know much else."
"I'm sure it'll come back to you." Maggie rubbed my arm.
"Maybe." I turned to lean on the gate. "I better get ready to head out with Rick."
"Keep my dad safe." Maggie whispered a plea.
"Always." I squeezed her hand.
Rick had Daryl and Hershel getting their gear ready to go. All I had was a knife rick handed me to look normal and a handgun.
After we were settled we headed out in the car towards an abandoned warehouse. Hopefully things would work out. I don't know if I could kill someone else.
