"Minsan sa may Kalayaan tayo'y nagkatagpuan...
May mga sariling gimik at kaya-kanyang hangad sa buhay.:"
The moment Minsan filled the bar, the atmosphere shifted.
Everyone's attention drifted toward the small stage where Yeoj stood, strumming his guitar with quiet confidence. One by one, the rest of the band followed.
Annys on the keyboard, Lorenzo on drums, Michie on bass. Together, they didn't just play music. They pulled people in.
"Sa ilalim ng iisang bubong
Mga sikretong ibinubulong
Kahit na anong mangyari
Kahit na saan ka man patungo"
The crowd began to sway, then sing, then cheer.
Annys couldn't help but smile.
But that smile slowly faded.
Her brows furrowed as she noticed something off. Yeoj's fingers were slipping. His timing was wrong.
Nagkatinginan sila nina Lorenzo and Michie dahil don. They noticed it too.
"Tunay na magkaibigan..."
Relief washed over her when Yeoj managed to recover and land the chorus properly.
But it didn't last.
A sharp snap echoed.
The guitar string broke.
"Shit!" Yeoj cursed into the mic.
The entire bar heard it.
And everything fell apart after that.
The guitar disappeared. The bass faltered. The drums lost rhythm.
Bigla nalang may tumalsik na drumstick sa harap ni Annys kaya napatingin siya kay Lorenzo. Nagtama ang mata nila kaya napakamot nalang ito sa ulo.
The music collapsed. And so did the performance.
Napabuntong hininga nalang si Annys at walang nagawa kung itigil nalang din ang pagkekeyboard.
"We're messed up."
The tension didn't end backstage.
"Ang bagal na nga ng kanta, naputol pa string ng gitara mo!" Lorenzo snapped.
"Kasalanan ko bang bulok yung string? Eh ikaw nga, tumalsik pa drumstick mo!" Yeoj fired back.
Their argument escalated fast. Voices rising, egos clashing.
Until—
"Lorenzo."
"Yeoj."
Annys and Michie called out at the same time, their tones sharp and serious.
