Yang's eyes slowly began to open as she glanced around the new bedroom she was in. It was still so unreal to her that just three weeks ago, she moved into a new home built with the help of her husband and friends and now...it felt so surreal. Less than a year into marriage she was living a very comfortable lifestyle. It's not that she didn't mind comfortable but it wasn't really her strongest suit. And besides, there was also ways something she wanted and now, she had the chance to get it.

Before she attempted to move around, she could feel Fred wrap an arm around her and had her be the little spoon in their relationship. She never did mind but out of everything Fred did for her and she wanted to do for him, there was one thing she wanted right now. It will uproot their life but she wanted it more than anything else. Yang slowly began lean back and get both her and Fred onto their backs and her on his chest.

That alone was able to get him to wake up in a bit of a stir. Yang gave Fred a light smile which he returned before yawning and keeping his hands on her waist.

Yang: Hey.

Fred: (Yawns) Hey. What's up? What's wrong?

Yang: Nothing. I just wanted to say something.

Fred: Yang, it's three o'clock in the morning. Could it wait for a bit.

Yang: It's just something small. That's all.

Fred: Alright, alright. What's up?

Yang: Well...you know what today is?

Fred: Yeah.

Fred sits up and kisses Yang again. He then kisses her neck and lays back down on the bed.

Fred: Happy birthday Yang. (Yawns) Don't worry about today. I got it.

Yang: I know. There was just one thing I wanted to ask before the rest of today.

Fred: I got you gifts don't worry about it.

Yang: Fred...it was something else. It's small. Nothing overly big. Ok?

Fred: (Yawns) Alright. What's up?

Yang: I want a kid.

Fred: Wait, what?!

Yang: I know it sounds like a big thing but-

Fred: Yang that's not a small thing. And-and, we're only 22. We're not ready for a kid!

Yang: Fred...you know I basically raised Ruby after my step-mom died. And come on, after everything we did throughout our lives. Us fighting in the war and beyond. So, are you ready because I know I am.

Fred: Exactly, you're ready. I'm not. I'm just...I'm just not. Maybe it's my psyche or something but I-I-I'm just...scared.

Yang: Fred...I'll be here. Always. And if you need help, my dad is down the road and I am here. We can do this...right? For me?

Fred: Alright. (Takes her hand) Let's try it.

Yang smiled at Fred and the two kissed before getting ready to start on the festivities of the night.

Two months after Yang's birthday, Fred was given the option of a mission and took it without a second thought. He had gathered up his supplies and loaded everything into a backpack and fueled up his bike and prepared to leave. Yang was watching him get everything ready while Ember and May were visiting the two.
