Changing Gears

It wasn't even enough time until the media and the public heard of the attack on the Summer Program, most of it negative. Stark's kidnapping, the abuse from Sutekina, the failures of Signal's staff, failures of huntsmen and huntresses, injuries of three students, trauma for the others. Lagoon was in the hospital, being properly treated for his injuries. Bruno and Sapphire were also in the hospital to deal with the gas intake as was Tealle, being treated for the bullets in her shoulder and leg.

Silver was inside the hospital too, sitting down on a bench. Amber walked into the building with her mother and she saw Silver.

Amber: Silver?

Silver: Oh, hey. What are you doing here?

Amber: Well...Opal for one. And my uncle and father are meeting with that Warp Gate guy for interrogations today.

Silver: Yeah. Same thing with his old teammates.

Amber: Oh...you're related to one?

Yang: Yes. You could also hear Gure from outside.

Along a long hallway, two guards stand in front of a hospital room. Inside are Warp Gate, Ember and Fred. Outside, across from the guards is Qrow Branwen, Oscar Pine, Ruby Pine and Tai. However, a few glances from the guards and Qrow down the hall lead to the true worry. Burly and Silver Sr. were busy holding back their other teammate, Gure Okami from charging down the hall and tearing Warp Gate into pieces.

Okami: Give me that bastard! I just want to talk to the SON OF A BITCH!!!

Silver Sr.: Gure! Knock it off! My son's down stairs and people can hear you!

Burly: No offense my friend, but I agree with Silver! You must stop this now!

Gure growled and let Silver and Burly shove him back down the hall into another room. Gure sat down and growled again to his teammates.

Okami: We shouldn't even bother with him. Just kill him now. For crying out loud, those are my kids too you know!

Silver: On a metaphorical level, they're all our kids. But that doesn't give us the right to go gun-ho on him. Or anyone. We operate inside the law.

The door opened and Tai, Oscar and Ruby walked inside. Tai crashed down and placed his head on his hands.

Taiyang: This is a fucking PR nightmare. Four in critical condition. Another five injured. An instructor now being sued for abuse charges for a minor. A child kidnapped. And with only three arrests. That doesn't balance the scale.

Ruby: And they took the names of every huntsman and huntress that we have employed. That's over three hundred huntsmen all with targets on their backs. I mean, why was that data even there!

Oscar: It was a universal drive. I guess they assumed it would be the easiest target. And with children involved...adding to that disaster.

Burly: They were right.

Everyone turns to look at Burly.

Okami: You alright there big guy?

Burly: Yes...I guess custody of Ebony goes to me. Which brings up another point, what about the Beacon students?

Silver Sr: What about them?

Burly: Well...are they alright. We know one is from Atlas. How will they think of one of their own in a firefight?

Oscar: I have already spoken to General Inverno. Outside of the Schnee and Ironwood families, no...major concern.

Okami: Of course.
