Stark and the gang ran down a large hallway, finding a staircase at the end of it. Stark and Mars looked at one another and nodded and began to lead the team down stairs. As they were walking, Mars took point as Night brought up the rear, eating using their night vision to guide the team.

Night: So, Sterling. How long will that poison last on the big guys upstairs?

Sterling: First of all; it's not poison. It's a nerve nullifier. Meant as a capture device. The dampers within the liquid is the equivalent to 10mg of sleeping powder, enough to tranquilize a gorilla.

Mars: Good to know. Hey, why do you have that on you?

Sterling: I'd just assumed we be walking around. Didn't want to leave anyone unmarked.

Night: Well...that is both scary and resourceful (whispers to Sterling) You cutie rich boy!

Sterling glances back at Night and smirks at her. Night winks back. Pyrrha rolls her eyes and spins back to walk besides Night.

Pyrrha: (Whispering to Night) Do you have to flirt with every single one of us...minus Mars?

Night: What can I say, I see something I like, I go after it.

Pyrrha rolled her eyes in a bit of annoyance and walked onward. Night followed cheerful behind her. Eventually, the five reached the basement and Mars and Night stopped.

Stark: What is it?

Mars: I'll turn on the switch for you guys.

Mars flipped the switch and the five saw what was before them with horror on their faces. They were inside a lab, all around them was different Grimm. And at the end of the walkway were Grimm being mutated. Some had larger spikes, others were growing larger, while a few more had other abnormalities to them.

Mars: What the hell is this?

Sterling: Language.

Mars turned back to Sterling with utter confusion on his face. Meanwhile, his friends walked past the two, not caring about what had just transpired.

Mars: Is no one gonna comment on this?!

Sterling: It's a matter of principles that I grew up with.

Mars: Your mother is weird.

Sterling glared back at him then proceeded forward. Mars sighed and walked after the group. The five walked down the long pathway and continued to look at the Grimm. Pyrrha then walked up to a console and began to go through files as the others looked around.

Night: So, I'm not the only one exceptionally creeped out by all of this, right?

Stark: No. You aren't. (To himself) He didn't mention this.

Sterling: Who?

Stark: Mhm?

Sterling: Who didn't mention this?

Stark: When I was being interrogated by Volt, he gave away his big old plan for revenge or something. He said he was going to tear the world down. He ever mentioned or hinted at anything like this. It's...what exactly are they doing?

Night: Wait, Pyrrha! Go back.

Pyrrha did so and pulled up data on different mutated Beowolves.

Night: This is just like the file we got from the vaults in Mistral.

Mars: Yeah. Councilman Greene began to use those vaults for a mining expeditions. Then he began to impose more regulation due to our failures.

Stark: Not surprising considering Greene is aligned with these guys.
