The day of the practical exam continued onward. Currently, Amber, Silver, Kelly and Aka were all in the observation room, waiting and watching the next few fights.
Silver: So...how do you think this one with go?
Amber: No idea. Never knew Dr. Wiskunde's fighting style.
Kelly: Well, we're about to find out.
Inside a small cave, Lagoon and Akauri were slowly walking through the area. Lagoon had his flashlight on while Akauri was at his back.
Akauri: See anything yet?
Lagoon: No. Where do you think he'll be?
Akauri: Perhaps somewhere high up?
Lagoon shined her light upwards and saw nothing above him. He shrugged and kept walking forward. The two kept silence up but they soon heard a clanging sound following by several boulders crashing down towards them.
Akarui: Look out!
Akarui grabbed Lagoon and pulled him away to the side to avoid the rocks. Metal scrapped along rock and the two look out and see Dr. Wiskunde creating light with his hook and chain and slowly walking up to the two. Wiskunde threw his chain towards the two and Akarui rolled out of the way while Lagoon used his dust in his sword to form a small shield and block the attack.
Lagoon then charged forward and thrusted his blade towards Wiskunde. The doctor blocked the incoming attack with his hook and backflipped out of the way. Akarui then lunged forward and began to thrust towards Wiskunde as well. Wiskunde blocked the attacks and then uses his chain to grab Lagoon and throw him into Akarui. Wiskunde then spun his chain around and grabbed Akarui's leg and pulled her towards himself and elbowed her in the face.
Lagoon then lunged forward, and began to duel Wiskunde a bit. Akarui then slowly sat up from the ground and saw Lagoon struggling to win. Akarui then stabbed the wall behind her and threw several stones towards Wiskunde which hit the doctor and launched him far off.
Akarui: Run!
Lagoon does as told and ran after Akarui who stabbed the grabbed again and blocked the path of Wiskunde.
Wiskunde: Good. Using your environment to your advantage. Excellent, students!
Wiskunde threw his chain threw the stone and cut it in half. He then smiled and began to follow the students. After running around for a bit, the two came to stop after running for a few minutes and began to take in a few deep breaths.
Lagoon: Hey...while we're in this neutral zone, gotta ask: I thought you were a jerk. Why are you nice all of a sudden?
Akarui: I...I don't have many friends. I hate what Amethyst does. But I don't really have other options.
Lagoon looked at her with a bit of a sympathetic look. He then reached over and placed a hand on her shoulder. He gave her a smile to which Akarui returned. Suddenly, Wiskunde's hook came through the wall, scaring both teens.
Akarui: This is not the time for a motivational speech!
Lagoon: Agreed! Ready?
Akarui: Yep! GO!
Before Wiskunde could pull his hook back, Akarui and Lagoon switched to their ice dust and froze the chain and hook in place. Wiskunde began to tug on the chain. He then saw the two teens run off towards the escape gate. He walks to where they were and laughs to himself at seeing the ice.
Wiskunde: Those two. (Laughs) Had a plan the whole time! Dr. Scorch, I am loving these students of yours more and more.
Wiskunde effortlessly broke the ice and whipped his chain and hook around his arm and took off after the students. However, as he rounded the corner, several rocks and icicles almost hit him, but he was able to slash through them all. He threw his hook towards a stone and a large column of stone emerged.
