Everything Stays: In the Future

Last Bout

Fred stood in front of his children and their friends. During the earlier fighting, Opal was able to bandage her hand up with the help from Amber and Silver. Fred and Damson glared at one another as Damson chuckled and licked his lips.

Fred: Stark. Pyrrha. Get those four outta here...now!

Stark: You'll need help, Dad.

Pyrrha: Dr. Scorch I believe we can assist-

Fred: Kids. I'm not saying it twice.

Amber: Good. Because neither are we.

Fred: Amber...stop thinking you can handle it.

Amber: Trust me, Dad.

Fred: ...Not this time, Sweatpea.

Damson: Oh, no! Dont go! (Laughs) We're just getting started.

Damson leaps up into the air and prepares a kick down towards the group. Fred lights his hands on fire and propels himself upward and grabs Damson's ankle and throws him into some trees. After Damson lands, Stark, in tiger form, ounces at Damson, but the Faunus easily dodges and kicks Stark in the head. Pyrrha goes in for her own few swings, but Damson out maneuvers one swing and kicks her into some more trees. Before Damson can prepare for another strike, Amethyst runs up and throws a punch towards him.

Damson catches the fist and twists her crystalized arm, almost making her wince in pain. Damson twists her arm even more, almost able to use his brute strength alone and tear it off. However, Fred grabbed his other arm and made him let go and spun Damson around. Fred proceeded to suplex the Faunus and kick him in the face. Fred goes in for a roundhouse kick but misses and ducks under another one of Damson's strikes.

Fred enters a breakdance maneuver with fire on his boots to further attack Damson but fails to connect them. Amber then leaps onto a tree and lunges towards Damson to attack him. She swings and gets his tail and goes in for another strike. Damson blocks the attack with his knife and kicked her in the chin. Damson goes in with a strike from his tail but Fred blocks it with his wrist blade and back kicks Damson.

Fred: For the last time Amber, STAY out of this! Silver! Get her and Opal outta here! Pyrrha drag the other two!

Stark: Hey one of them is your son!

Fred: Who wont be around a lot if he stays-

Damson's metallic tail wrapped around Fred's waist and began to drag him through the woods.

Stark and Amber: DAD!!!

Fred breaks free of Damson's hold and kicks the Faunus in the face. Damson tackles Fred along the ground but Fred kicks the assassin off of him and rolls back up to his feet. Fred goes on the offensive and unleashes several slashes at Damson. After a strong combo, Fred finishes it off with a massive punch, launching Damson off a cliff. Damson wraps his tail around Fred's ankle and drags him off the cliff. On the fall down, the two engage in basic fist fight until they both land on the ground.

They both take deep breaths and stand back up to face one another. Damson glances up to the top of the cliff.

Damson: The children are gone. I don't think we need to put on a show anymore.

Fred, still glaring, activates some of his Guardian Armor.

Fred: Couldn't agree more.

Damson smirked in response.

Back at the clearing, Burly and Yang still stand as confused, worried and angry all at once. Standing before them was an old friend now turned traitor and rival.
