A day after the attack on Beacon's own environmental training facility, several media outlets began to question both Beacon and Signal Academy since students were using it at the time of the attack. It was clear that the media was twisting the blame towards the schools and not to the actual attackers. Luckily, only a few parents actually believed the news. Many also considered those to be the "less than nice" parents as well.

Currently, Amber Scorch was at home, sitting in the living room watching the news reports, mainly about her father being the most heavily injured during the attack. As it stands, he was still in critical condition and the school gave all students off until Tuesday. Not like that really made a difference. Just the memories of that Damson guy and whoever Warp Gate was as well. They almost killed her father if it wasn't for that super-move he did. She then saw the news was showing video of the attack.

As Amber was watching, images of Damson flashed in her mind as the psycho tried to attack and kill her. He knew her father. And her mother apparently. He knew they existed. It wasn't a random attack. Her father was targeted specifically. Her mother was out at the hospital, same as her grandfather so she was home alone. Suddenly, the house phone rang and Amber knew the number all too well.

Amber: Hey, Stark.

Stark: Hey sis. How's Dad doing?

Amber: He's still in the hospital. Mom was saying how he could be out within two weeks.

Stark: Well...that's good I guess.

Amber: Stark...is it all-

Stark: Amber. Chill. You were there. It was random and the guy just didn't like Dad.

Amber: I know, I know. But...he knew Dad. He knew Mom. I just...I'm scared Stark. Like...really-

Stark: Hey, sis. Listen...I'm scared too but that shouldn't be your concern. You should worry about getting some rest and spending time with friends and just...shaking this whole thing off.

Amber: Stark, I cant do that. You KNOW I cant do that. And I know you cant either.

Stark: Got me there. Look, I got to run. Uncle Oscar is holding a seminar over this and its mandatory. I'll see you later sis.

Amber: Ok. Bye.

With that, he hung up. Amber continued to look around the house, trying to find something to take her mind off of things. She then began to run through the messages left on their home phone, mainly from some of her father's colleagues and the parents of some of her classmates. Since the attack, her uncle Ember linked with police forces and began an investigation, even questioning her some more. Leia got out of the hospital later last night so she was back with the BIC. Regardless, Amber knew not everything was safe and sound.

Suddenly, the door open and Amber turned to the front door and saw her mother walk inside the house.

Amber: Hey Mom.

Yang: Hey sweetie. How are things here?

Amber: Decent. How's Dad?

Yang: Oh he's as stubborn as ever. Just a bunch of groans and yelling at some of the docs who want him him to stay for awhile.

Amber: What does that mean?

Yang: It means your father's an idiot...socially speaking.

Amber: Then why did you marry him?

Yang: Because he's cute. Now, want me to get you anything? A sandwich or-

Amber: I'm fine, Mom. I'm just going to chill upstairs.
