Inside the Scorch family home, Fred is starting out the window of his office, he looking at the rainstorm that would be coming in at any moment in the day. He would call Yang, but now wasn't the correct time after what had just happened in Mistral. Bazaar had sent images of Team MMMN's and STNE's findings from the last two weeks to the rest of the Council. Of course he was worried about his son, but luckily Stark and his honorary niece and nephew were alright. Fred sighed and walked back to his desk and pulled up the images and data given to him by Bazaar.
Weiss and Elsa had added to the discussion, citing several Atlas based technologies were found in the images. Fred also looked over the images of two of the attackers. The one identified as Warp Gate and the other, an elderly man with a cybernetic chair. It could've been Watts. He was in prison. Or was he? Fred's eyes widen a bit, letting that idea settle in his mind. Fred shook off the idea and pulled back a few images of what was on the screens in Mistral.
He could see designs of a single Beowolf on the monitor. While it was confusing, but an idea did pop into his head as well. Dr. Lavenza Volt. The mad man himself. But...he was almost 60 when he and Lavezna met again in the fields of battle. That was twenty-two years ago. The doc was almost 90. That didn't make much sense either. Still, his thoughts rested back to Hazel Rainart. The giant man had been arrested during the War for Remnant and willingly ratted out his allies. So, why would he switch sides again. Ozpin was gone forever. The curse on Ozma lifted.
The gods didn't return due to Onyx being beat physically and Salem turned to stone for all eternity and left to rot in her kingdom. Hazel had no reason to change sides again. Unless he was forced back into it. Could that be a viable reason? Fred sighed and sat back down, wincing as he did so.
Ever since the attack on Signal, Fred was home ridden and thus couldn't get to work. Didn't help much that the quarter just now ended and the semester was to end in a month and a half. He sighed to himself, mostly because he lost time to spend with his daughter and her peers. He honestly loved the class and was reminded a lot by them of his class. His wife's class. Yang...
The thought of his wife and family ended when he heard the door open and Yang and Amber's voices. He sighed in contempt, realizing they came home ok. Due to his broken leg, Fred couldn't drive so that's why Yang took Amber to and from school. As Fred was looking over the images again, the door knocked.
Fred: Come in.
Yang walked in and over to Fred and wrapped her arms around his head and looked at the images with him.
Yang: Have you found anything else than the same things you told me about last night.
Fred: I'm thinking of something. But, it is a working theory. Nothing of serious note.
Yang: Fred?
Fred: Ok, very serious note. I think either Volt or Watts are back.
Yang: What?!
Fred: It's a working theory. I'm not a fan of it, but there is potential.
Yang: We need to tell the others.
Fred: Wait!
Yang: Wait? What do you mean wait?!
Fred: We don't want to alert him to a plan if he even is involved. Even if he doesn't know there is a plot right now, if we tell him-
Yang: He wants in.
Fred: And knowing Watts?
Yang: He'll get out. Ok...so what's the plan here?
Fred: We have to play it slow. I want to conduct an interrogation with him. Make it essentially what we always had it. Hint at a plot. I'm sure Weiss and Elsa can handle that.
