Sitting inside a courthouse, Ebony is tapping her lap, waiting for something to happen at some point. A door opens down the hall and she looks over with a smile on her face. She sighs, however, as she sees her team walk down the hallway. Stark smiles as he stands in front of Ebony as Tealle and Nick sit down on either side of her.
Ebony: Hey guys.
Stark: Hey, hey, hey.
Tealle: How are you feeling?
Nick: Yeah, considering the fact you haven't been on campus for the past 3 weeks. You're lucky professor Pine hasn't suspended or expelled you already.
Tealle: Hey Nick, could you like, not for once.
Nick: Just being honest. That's-
Stark: Nick. The last thing this team needs is more stress. How have things been going here?
Ebony: Decently. Just a lot of paperwork as of recently. Nothing much to worry about. More importantly, how have things been going with you three and school?
Stark and Telle looked at one another and gave a kinda awkward smile at each other. Ebony rolled her eyes and looked at Stark.
Ebony: I get it, she's pregnant. Anything else you guys feel free to tell me?
Nick: There hasn't been much. Third-year is just like the past 2 years. Easy enough that there is no major issue. Training has been a bit stiff though. Mostly since you aren't present and Tealle is a month pregnant now.
Tealle: I'm not apologizing.
Stark: Look, so long as everything goes down fine with this legal case, it should be alright. So how about we-
Ebony: Stark. It's going to be about 2 years from now until we actually go to trial. Which means money is going to go down. Which means more and more worries for my step-father and I. Which also means if we lose, we get screwed. Completely.
Stark: We can help you. I can help you. I can-
Ebony: What? Pull strings? Get Sterling's money in which his mother is NOT being sued and put on a criminal trail up in Atlas.
Nick: Evidence is damning.
Stark glared a little at Nick. Nick looked at him and cocked an eyebrow.
Nick: What? I'm not allowed to voice opinions.
Stark: No. It's just...come on man. She's my aunt. And she wouldn't do anything like that! And we know for a fact that Helios is working with-
Nick: We get it. Helios works for Damson and she's framing Schnee. Ok?!
Stark kept up glaring at Nick, not really showing any emotion outside of annoyance. Nick looked back at Stark and raised an eyebrow at him.
Nick: What is it now?
At this point, the girls glance at one another and then back at the boys. Tealle coughs and clears her throat to gain attention from the group.
Tealle: We just wanted to come on down and make sure you were ok, Ebony. And if there is anything we can do for you, just feel free to let us know, okay?
Ebony: Of course. Well, for the time being, might as well bring me down some school work.
Stark: I can help tutor if you want to?
Nick: I'll handle it. You need to focus on other priorities, Stark.
Stark: As do all of us. I'm just trying to do what would be best for the team.
