Everything Stays: In the Future

Initiation

Stark's inner alarm clock went off in his head, shocking him awake early that morning. The day had begun and Stark wanted to get a quick move on for things. After waking himself up and slapping himself for a few moments, he notices he is actually the first one in the whole room actually awake. Taking advantage of the situation, he takes off his shirt and wraps some bandages around his hands and wrists and leaps up towards a balcony.

Stark begins to do some pull up as a morning work out, feeling the sweet just drip off of his body. After a few minutes, he grabs his bed shirt and whips his face with it before leaving and doing a few morning laps. As he is running, he can see behind him is another young man, looking to be around the same age as him in a track suit with an arm exposed...a metal arm. Stark slows down and gets to the side and waits for the other student to catch up.

Stark: Hello there.

Male Student: Uh, hi.

Stark: And your name?

Nick: Nickel Quartz. You can call me Nick.

Stark: Pleasure. Name's Stark. Student here?

Nick: Hopefully. My initiation is in about two hours.

Stark: Likewise my man.

Nick: Well then best of luck to you.

Stark: Likewise! Hey, maybe we could-

A red blur shot past the two as an older looker Ruby, enters the track with Crescent Rose fully drawn. She smirks and looks directly at the two.

Stark: Oh, n-

Ruby dashes forward and swings her scythe, hitting both teenagers back. After they land, Nick's arm morphs into a cannon and he fires a round at Ruby. She quickly dodges and moves around the track until she hits Nick with the butt of her scythe and knocks him backwards. She then uses her semblance again and appears behind Stark and raises her scythe to crash down on him. Stark quickly turns back around and catches the blade, his aura holding it back.

Stark shoves it to the side and he leaps up and attempts to kick Ruby's face. Ruby avoids the attack and wraps her weapon around Stark and throws him to the ground. As Stark bounces from the land, he spins in the air and kicks the ground where Ruby stood and forms a small crater. However, Ruby moved out of the way and throws Stark through the debris he kicked up. Before the two could attack again, a green burst of energy passes by them and stops the fighting. They turn and see Oscar Pine standing there.

Oscar: Honestly, Ruby. Why do I keep you around?

Ruby: Because you love me.

Oscar: (Sighs) I apologize about her. She's...energetic.

Oscar offered up his cane to both Nick and Stark.

Stark: We got that one professor.

Oscar: Why don't you two run along and get ready for the initiation. We can handle this small mess.

Nick: Professor! Why attack us?!

Ruby: Test your abilities. Wanted to see if you guys were ready for this morning.

Nick: Of course! That all makes so much sense! (Bows) Thank Professors!

Oscar and Ruby look at one another and then at Stark who just shrugs it off.

Oscar: No need to thank us. Now then, Stark is it. How about you help us with clean up. Nickel, you may leave.

Nick nodded and took off. Stark turned back to Oscar and Ruby and they all watched as Nick left. Stark imminently hugged his aunt and uncle with a smile on his face.
