Finally an update!😜

The next few words which he spoke, left Sonakshi speechless.

"You are under arrest Mr Sanjay Agarwal"

Sona's POV

I didn't know what happened to me. The last image I vaguely remembered was my father being arrested. Yes arrested by the one and only Dev Sharma. Although it was real, everything felt like a hallucination. Moreover, my sick body couldn't retrieve from the shock and decided to blackout.

When I opened my eyes, I was already lying on a comfortable bed, surrounded by a familiar blue-painted walls. I wished I knew what had happened back there. Was Dev a police officer? I thought he......he was something else. Why didn't he tell me anything? What happened after those crazy explosions? Did Dev manage to capture my dad? Who's Dev? Whom have I been living with for so long?

All this while, I had been covered with lies and no one tried to reveal the truth to me. No one!

I struggled with the heaviness in my body as I tried to adjust myself on the bed with my arms. The burning pain on my back pierced with every move I made. I froze when I heard voices outside the door. I wanted to go there and ask for help, however I couldn't find any energy to drag myself out of the bed.

I looked around and realised that it was my grandparents' house. My eyes widened as I looked around in fear. Where are they? Are they alright? I hope Dev didn't do anything to them. My chest rose in panic as an unsettling feeling set inside my stomach.

My mind rushed into different paths as the door suddenly jolted open.

"Sona? You're awake?" my grandfather's face was pale as he watched me with tears.

I swallowed my tears and blinked at him repeatedly. Never had I imagined that I would see this day any soon. The moment I was captured by my father, I expected death. Nothing more, nothing less. But here, I was seeing my grandparents again. My only joy. There were no words coming out from my mouth. I just gazed at him speechless while my grandmother joined him too. They immediately rushed towards me and engulfed me in a tight hug.

"Sona.....I thought.....god.....we thought that we almost lost you!" my dadu cried as he spoke with grief. I could feel the sorrow in his voice. Thinking that I was the cause behind it, pained me so much.

"It's okay dadu.... Don't cry please. I am fine...." I said as grief filled my lungs. My heartbeat still wasn't stable after the traumatic event.

As I tried to sit up, my grandmother instantly came forward and helped to hold me upright. Her face was filled with worry-lines as she picked me up. She tried her best to avoid my gaze, but the moment her eyes met mine, fat tears fell freely from her eyes.

I couldn't understand why she was crying so miserably until she touched the side of my face. I flinched as my skin on the side stung harshly. Gosh, what was that? Another bruise? On my face? Damn, I was sure I looked horrible. Goodbye confidence...

"Dadi..."

"It's all our fault... I wish I had never given birth to that monster" she shook her head in regret. I couldn't bear the tears in their eyes. They really didn't deserve all this. They really don't.....

"Please don't cry..." I swallowed my own trembling voice.

"Gosh..... we failed you Sona beta. We couldn't keep the promise we made to your mum" my grandma said with teary eyes.
